Although the food was edible that's about all I can say about it. Ordered fried won ton for starters and prawns with cashew nuts for main, along with egg fried rice. Won tons were not really light and crispy batter, too thick and chunky with little filling. Main course and rice were brought to the table whilst only half way through starters, and no little warming trays with tea lights to keep it hot, so towards the end I had mostly cold food. Picture in the menu was nothing like what was served, the picture showed large king prawns with lots of cashew nuts. What I got was lots of little cheap prawns, about 10 cashew nuts and lots of sliced cucumber and red pepper. Sauce was fairly watery, slightly garlicky and pretty tasteless. The egg fried rice was probably about the best of the dishes with chopped veg mixed in, shame it got cold rather quickly. The jasmine tea I had was overloaded and really too strong for what is meant to be a light refreshing beverage. Ambience and decor are standard Chinese red & gold coverings with wood panelling. All in all three stars is probably pushing it a bit and judging by the fact there were only a couple of others customers eating and lots of empty tables, others have arrived at a similar conclusion. Would not recommend this place or use it...

I'd called ahead a week before to make a hot pot reservation for my wife and I (who used to live in the Guangdong region) with high hopes. As a courtesy, Canton's staff called the day before not only to confirm the reservation, but to ask specifically which ingredients we would like prepared for the meal.
The restaurant is impressive. A large red curtain parted and led into a spacious dining room filled with a variety of international guests, mostly from Asia. Everything about the establishment felt authentically Chinese, not something easily found in Warsaw! The hot pot itself tasted like something right out of a Chengdu eatery, which was a good thing. Management even stopped by our table to chat and gauge our experience. A very classy touch.
Unfortunately, our stomachs were too full to unpack the other delicious menu options, but we will definitely be back to this genuine and incredibly hospitable restaurant in the near future. A...
Read moreBeautiful restaurant, super nice service, good prices, and 3 out of 5 things were delicious.
The longer answer is that I get it...the glory days of this place are probably gone, since we went on a Saturday night and it was only us and a company that were just leaving.
We had fried dumplings, meat buns, Cantonese duck, cha siu pork, noodles with beef and beef with crispy rice.
The beef with crispy rice, the dumplings and the meat buns were incredibly delicious. As a person that has eaten 1000s of times Chinese dishes around the world, these 3 dishes were top 3 I've ever eaten. The meat buns....man, if I could eat them every day together with the dumplings.
However, it's a big menu, not a lot of customers, so some items are sub par. Duck was like eating plastic, the noodles with beef seemed like some parts were reheated, and the char siu pork was lacking.
I hope this restaurant survives and comes back to its glory days. Such a...
