Ok, so for this place I have a mixed review.
I got the mariko set (35 pieces) 195zl
On the positive side, the wrapped uramaki was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and worth coming back for. Also the fried veggie tempura was pretty good. The hosomaki came with veggies in a roll with cashew sauce and mushrooms top. Not a fan of mushrooms so I took them off, but was not bad, not amazing, but definitely ok. The futomaki, was very plain vanilla, seaweed kinda took over the taste of the whole roll, but was ok, just veggies and rice in seaweed.
On the not so positive side. I orginally was presented with a bowl of some dark brown sauce, not sure what it was (not soy sauce) smelled like alcohol and tasted like alcohol, had to put it to the side so I wouldn't smell it while I ate. Then I got the tomato nagiri..it was terrible..tomatoes tasted like they came from a can and had some metallic taste to them, not sure if it was some sauce they put on or the tomatoes themselves..but was not good at all. Then they brought out the gunkan, some brown vegetable slices on top of rice that also had some strange metallic taste...wasn't good at all. Then I got the "cake"...which was veggies in a rice roll wrapped around with eggplant, topped with a glob mashed avacado and some black charcoal flakes on top for some reason? I took off the charcoal, but still didnt help...the flavor wasn't great, mostly felt I was eating mashed avacado (there was a lot).
In conclusion...I would definitely go back for the wrapped uramaki, was really delicious and flavorful. Cashew topped hosomaki wasn't too bad either, just not as good as uramaki. Fried tempura also a nice appetizer. As for the rest I tried, definitely wouldn't order again.
Place was clean and there are 2 bathroom in the back. Staff was friendly, even said goodbye as I was leaving. Tip was added for their hospitality.
Would I go back? Yes, but would be very picky on...
Read moreTHE BEST SUSHI I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! Quite honestly, eating at this place made me not even miss seafood for one second (it's the first time I've felt this way) since turning vegan last year. My favorite part is that the menu only says what you will receive in terms of type of rolls, but not its content (like what veggies it contains) which makes it an entire experience. I had a 1 person menu + an extra roll and was the perfect amount of food. In terms of pricing it's a bit more expensive for polish standards of restaurants, but for the rest of Europe it's still pretty decent. The place is really cute, staff super friendly, and from what I saw, usually full! Only downside, is it's not very friendly for those with reduced mobilitt as you have to go down a couple of stairs (there's no other way to go in as a customer). Definitely make a stop here regardless of what you eat, the experience will be a great one for vegans, vegetarians and...
Read moreThe table was wet when I walked up. No big deal, I wasn’t overly upset, but I asked the waitress if she could wipe it down. You know, because I don’t want to get my arms wet. She copped an attitude, said it was clean and walked off. A different waitress walked over and wiped it down, took 2 seconds, she overheard me ask. I was really nice about it. Sorry, but you reviewers are all weird because you don’t mind ordering mystery food. There is no description of what’s in the rolls in the menu. It just says 1 piece, etc. Lady tried to explain in some language I didn’t recognize. I don’t care if it is vegan. Does it have mushrooms, peas, etc. After that, I had enough. It is Poland, but there are plenty of restaurants that can speak English. Competition and all that. I had to give the food 3 stars because I have idea what it’s like. Everything else got 3 stars. Posted on April 29, 8:45 PM. That waitress should not be working in...
