Indian Dawat — Restaurant in Warsaw

I've had a very nice late dinner with my girlfriend. When I was ordering a chicken madras the waitress asked me if i wanted "polish" version of spiciness or if i'm going for an authentic taste. Big respect, not many indian restaurants do that... Of course I've ordered the real one and it was perfect for my chillihead taste. Spicy but not agonising... really flavourful on the other hand. The portion of naan bread was also okay, not a kindergarden one like in many restaurants. When I was waiting for the dinner and after it I had a really nice chat about indian cousine and I was kindly invited for the most spicy dish they can do... I can't wait to come and try. In my opinion - the restaurants are not only about great taste... the atmosphere is as much important. In this one - atmosphere is built by a great waitress who should get a rise. Of course, you have to pay for quailty. I totally get that, but when the strong competition is three blocks away the prices seem a little bit to high in comparisment. I hope that will change and I could become a constant customer since I live in the next...

Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff who made me feel welcome and accomadated. They speak Indian polish and English, which was very useful as I speak only English. The restaurant has an authentic Indian decorum and it is very warm and cozy, one feels relaxed immeadiatly.

Now down to the real deal, the food. I have eaten here now 3 times now on my trip, and to be honest it's the food and portion sizes that keep bringing me back. I ordered lamb biriyani upon first time and it was delicious. Second time I had fish soup, masala fish curry and aloo paratha. It was cooked fresh and was tantalising to the tastebuds. If you like some spice like me, they chef will happily make it to your tastings if you request.

I would definitely recommend coming here for great Indian food and fantastic customer service. Can't say again how amazing and nice the staff was, from helping me charge my phone to explaining dishes...

Firstly, we ordered our foods and 1 draft beer. The server bring us one Heineken in bottle :) we said that we ordered draft not bottle. He went and came back and said we dont have it. Then after waiting for our foods, they gave my wife her food and after 5 minutes, my food. I ordered MUTTON biryani but they gave me chicken biryani which had exactly 5 pieces of chicken. We just asked for the check and then we realized the bill was wrong with 3 zł more which was odd because The server told me that she will give us a discount for them being late for seving my food. After that we said the bill is wrong and they corrected it. At all, this place is a huge mess. The only good thing was the rice taste. But the biryani was awfull since it had few pieces of chicken and paneer kadai was with few small pieces of paneer. The portions were awfully small and the food werent good at all. NOT...
