Stacja Grochów — Restaurant in Warsaw

I have been coming to Stacja Grochów for some five years now. When I come from Australia I visit there several times a week and have got to know the staff over this time. I have recommended this place to many in Warsaw and around the world on my travels for people to go to when asked for recommendations for when they visit Warsaw. Unfortunately A recent review by Ewelina X from about two weeks ago leaves me angry. I am angry at the level of misunderstanding Ewelina X has aimed at the waiter. She seems to think that her opinion is important so I will give her some truth so that others who read these reviews will have a clearer understanding of what Stacja Grochów and the great people who work there represent to this local community. Stacja Grochów is a very chilled out, laid back, loud and super friendly place. Whether you want to come alone or with friends, it’s so easy and possible. It’s a restaurant that’s non judgmental, it’s got great food and the beers are great and varied. We have been shocked to read in her review her comment regarding clients asking for the bill. We have always had fun times with the dark humour of the waiter. We know he also jokes with other clients as they too have got to know the people at Stacja Grochów. If you don’t like the place, then don’t go again but to ridicule someone who you don’t know is simply, shameful, pathetic and you obviously feel a sense of importance that you think your destruction of someone’s personality is worth some importance to others. In future I strongly suggest that Ewelina X mind her own business. I give her review half a star...

I visited this place hoping for a decent meal, but it was a huge disappointment. The price-performance is just terrible. They have a "promotion" where you get fries for 15 PLN if you order a main dish, but honestly, those fries weren't even worth 5 PLN. To make it worse, they didn’t offer any sauce with the fries—just dry and overpriced. I ordered a lemonade, and they served it packed with ice, which made no sense on such a cold day. It felt like they wanted to make things as uncomfortable as possible. This place is a complete waste of money. I’d choose Między Bułkami over this place, the food there tastes better. At Między Bułkami for the same burger prices, you can get fries (300 gr) and lemonade (600 ml) for just 21 PLN, plus free sauces. Their fries are actually tastier, and so are the burgers.
