Meatologia — Restaurant in Wrocław

First time here with a friend’s recommendation. Sat outside; ordered Fillet Mignon and Maestro Primitivo. Then I asked service lady if I can smoke (as it is outdoors). She kindly told me I cant, smoke free area.

Perfect, nothing to complain until this moment.

Then 2 ladies and 1 gentleman sitting on the table next to me started smoking Heets (sort of electronic cigarettes), with no warning to them whatsoever.

I questioned myself if the rules are different in Poland? Asked AI :

“In Poland, the legal framework treats traditional cigarettes, heated tobacco products (like Heets), and electronic cigarettes (vapes) similarly when it comes to public smoking bans. So why double standard and ruin whole experience in such a nice place (I am perfectly ok with not smoking, but rule is a rule) !

In short, good food, bad experience !

PS : Apologies service lady, I normally leave a nice tip everywhere but to Restaurant Management : Same standards to everyone please, I dont think...

I went there last Thursday and overall it was a good experience. They have a brand of craft beer that is really extraordinary, one of the best beer I have ever drank! We ordered a cheese & bacon burger that was very tasty, though the meat should have been cooked a bit more as we ordered it medium but inside looked more on the rare side. Still, it was very good so we can overlook this. Very nice furnitures inside. There are 2 things I really see can be improved: service and menù. Let's start with the service.. Not like the staff was rude or anything, but the place was basically empty and we had to wait for the waitress to take our order about 15 minutes... I can understand if it was very crowded but as I mentioned, there was nobody! She looked very young and aside this she was polite, I think she was new hired so would be a good idea to gave her some extra training. Coming on the second point, the hamburger offer was very limited, just 4. I know, probably here I will hear the usual explanation "we prefer to focus on few things rather than do a lot bad bla bla" but as a person who worked in the f&b I don't agree. I would love next time to see in the menù 1 or 2 option more for the hamburgers, possibly one without onion 😉 Said so, the place is good and I hope they will follow my suggestions so that next time I go I can change my review from 4...

Got to say this was so disappointing!

I did a lot of research before choosing to come here for a steak. A 2 Mike round trip walking wasted to visit here!

The waitress was totally unhelpful and they didn’t have an English menu!

I did ask what everything was but she showed no interest!

I was going to order steak but due to lack of interest in wanting to help or an English menu I went for a Smashe.

She didn’t ask if I wanted an extras or what the options were so it came without fries!

I’d have been ok with this yet 3 customers walked in just as I’d finished and the waitress was speaking in English to them asking them if they wanted fries, etc and way more friendly than she was with me.

I also asked it if I could sit outside as all the other restaurants had people sat outside. She said no, outside is closed! Yet all the tables and chairs were setup!

The worst service I’ve had during my stay in Wroclaw!

Smashe was ok. Nothing special.

While all the other restaurants looked vibrant, when I got here it looked closed! Totally unwelcoming feel about it. No atmosphere at all inside coupled with a rude waitress! Maybe that’s why everywhere else was busy as there were a handful of people in here!

Give it a miss if you are English!
