TL;DR: Lobster Seafood Bar & Fish Market offers an impressive selection of oysters, recommended for its variety and especially the baked oysters. Main dishes are less impressive, and the bistro-like experience with plastic cutlery seems mismatched with the price range. A good choice overall, especially for oyster enthusiasts.
At Lobster Seafood Bar, my wife and I embarked on a quest to satisfy our craving for quality oysters, and we weren't disappointed. Discovered through Google Maps, this establishment stands out for its diverse array of oysters. The highlight was undoubtedly the baked oysters, which we highly recommend to anyone visiting.
However, the experience took a slight downturn when it came to the main dishes. While not bad, they didn't quite meet our expectations, especially in terms of presentation. Given the price point, we anticipated something more refined.
Adding to this, the dining experience leans towards a bistro style, which feels incongruent with what you'd expect at these prices. The use of plastic knives and forks was a peculiar choice that didn't quite fit the otherwise upscale ambience of the place.
In conclusion, Lobster Seafood Bar excels in its selection of oysters, making it a great destination for enthusiasts. However, if you're expecting a high-end dining experience, particularly for the main courses, you might find it slightly lacking. The mismatch between the cutlery and the overall feel of the place might be off-putting for some. Nonetheless, it's a commendable spot for a specialized...
Read more🍴Lobster Fish Market & Seafood is a place with great potential but could use some improvements. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable and talkative, which enhances the dining experience. However, the limited seating area and uncomfortable high chairs make it less than ideal for groups of three or more. Furthermore, the prices are higher than what one would expect for the level of the restaurant. Lastly, the use of cheap plastic caps for the pepper and paper plates and cutlery seems out of place for a restaurant where a meal for two people costs around €50.
👍 Pros:
Good quality of food Knowledgeable and talkative staff
👎 Cons:
Limited seating area and uncomfortable high chairs High prices for the level of the restaurant Cheap plastic caps for pepper and paper plates and cutlery
In summary, Lobster Fish Market & Seafood is a restaurant that offers excellent food and knowledgeable staff, but could benefit from improvements to its seating and price points. The use of cheap plastic caps and paper plates and cutlery seem out of place for a restaurant at this level. Despite its shortcomings, it is worth a visit for the quality of its food and the experience provided...
Read moreI visit this place periodically, and usually, I'm lucky. However, last time, the seafood was partially fresh. We ordered herring sandwiches, which were tasty, but one had so much mayonnaise that it was hard to taste the herring 😅. We also ordered tuna tartare, but it was difficult to discern the taste as the fish was drenched in soy sauce, giving the impression it was frozen... And the mussels in wine were terrible. We tried a couple but didn't risk more; they were rubbery, dry, with a lot of water (not wine, believe me). Despite this, the prices are like those of good restaurants.
If you decide to dine here, opt for fresh products that don't require much preparation and that you can see displayed to ensure...
