We stayed nearby and couldn’t help but notice how busy Ze Smakiem always was, so we decided to give it a try. The place is tiny—just three or four tables—and you can watch the ladies in the kitchen hand-making pierogi right in front of you. It feels authentic and special.
We ordered several kinds to take home: duck with cranberry, pork, spinach, and cabbage with mushrooms. Each came with sautéed onions and sour cream on the side, carefully packaged for us to carry out. They were all absolutely delicious—so good that it was impossible to pick a favorite. The dough is impressively thin, so you really taste the rich fillings.
One detail worth mentioning: my companion, who never cared for pierogi before tried these and completely changed his mind. That says everything about the quality here.
The staff was warm and welcoming, and the food itself was outstanding. If you’re in Wrocław and want truly excellent pierogi, Ze Smakiem is a must-visit. Highly...
Read moreIf we went there as the first pirogiarna, this would be 4/5*. Space is cozy, yet quite small, there was always a line to get in. Seeing them roll the dough and wrap it in front of you is a cool attraction in a way. Prices are nice and affordable, but the drinks (330ml coke) are one of the most expensive I've seen (12zl). Back to food... It's over-hyped, duck-cranberry was great, pork was good. The issue is that we went to a similarly rated pirogiarna 1km southwest day before and this pales in comparison in everything besides selection. Bigger, cheaper portions, better filling/dough ration. Taste of pork filling really popped out. My fiance sparkled. Not at all cramped space, less wait
This place is certainly worth the visit and I don't regret it, just not an instant "the best in town", go visit, but don't be blind to other places. (Just dodge the tourist traps in the...
Read moreWant some of the best pierogi in Wroclaw? Then head to Ze Smakiem! A small local venue dishing up homemade classic and modern pierogi. We tried the classics - potato & cheese and cabbage & mushroom. Both were served with carmelized onions on top and a side of sour cream. The team there was making the pierogi fresh right before our eyes. So don’t be surprised if they’ve sold out of a flavor - that’s because these are freshly made and not frozen. What’s more, there is limited seating inside, only a couple of tables. Take out is also possible. Dining in or taking out, Ze Smakien serves fresh authentic Polish dumplings (pierogi) that leave yours stomachs full and that are easy on your pocketbooks. Ze Smakiem was recommended to us by a local and we highly recommend. PS. Menu available in...
