You know you’ve struck gold when you find yourself eating at the same place every single day during your week-long holiday—and not because you’ve run out of options, but because the food is just that damn good.
After a few days of indulging in the local Zakopane cuisine—where every meal feels like a challenge to see how much your stomach can handle—you start craving something different, something that doesn’t require an afternoon nap to recover from. That’s where Bistro Las comes in. It’s a breath of fresh air in a town where the typical menu can leave you feeling more stuffed than a Christmas turkey.
We found Bistro Las early in our trip, and let me tell you, it was like discovering a culinary gem amidst a sea of heavy, albeit delicious, dishes. The vegan burger here is a revelation—juicy, flavourful, and so satisfying that you might just forget it’s plant-based. It’s the kind of meal that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about vegan food.
The best part? You leave feeling energised, not weighed down, which is a nice change of pace in a place where most meals can leave you feeling like you need to be rolled out of the restaurant.
And it’s not just the food that makes this place special. The service is fantastic—genuinely warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. By the end of our trip, it felt like we were locals, popping in for our daily fix.
If you’re in Zakopane and looking for a break from the usual culinary marathon, Bistro Las is your go-to. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal without needing a recovery period afterwards. Trust me, you’ll be back. We certainly were,...

Essentially everything on the menu is vegan aside from a couple of options at breakfast which are vegetarian. We came for breakfast two days in a row, lunch one of those days and also took a delicious lemon tart as takeaway.
The savoury vegan breakfast is a must have! With a lovely selection of bread, vegan butter, a traditional ‘cottage cheese’ style salad, one of the best tofu scrambles I’ve ever had and a very fresh salad.
I’d come back to Zakopane just for this...
Read moreI had here an excellent vegan lunch. It’s hard enough to find this type of food in Zakopane, so this place was a treat. I selected a hot Thai soup, and soya-based minced rissole with fresh, young potatoes, and a side salad. The meal was topped with a delicious, not-too-sweet strawberry cake. All the food was tasty and well-spiced. The place itself is unpretentious, and in a pretty place. You can connect a meal here with q visit to the nearby cinema Sokół. Highly recommended for all vegetarian and vegan...
