Basic customer service was appalling. If having to ask the waiter if you're able to order any drinks after being sat for nearly 25mins without any sort of acknowledgement from the staff member wasn't bad enough. The table of 4 who came after us had already began eating there meal. I understand that places can be busy and people get missed, but when asked if we could order the staff member came back with a terrible attitude towards us like we were an inconvenience to him. We ordered 1 pizza each and a bottle of wine for the table which at this point, trying to get a recommendation for the bottle from the waiter was like trying to drain blood from a stone. He then proceeded to bring us bottles of water that got thrown down on the table with he glasses and we had to pour ourself (not a massive issue but still it's restaurant etiquette that we was paying a more premium price for). Now the food is the only reason this review is 2 and NOT 1 star as it was great in taste and presentation so hats off to the chef. Once we had finished our nightmare waiter proceeded to ignore our empty plates until we prompted him we was finished and we wished to pay the bill (my partner had also wanted to take her leftovers home with her and we had to ask this guy twice for that also). Once the bill came we paid via card and waited for the food to be boxed up to be taken, what could possibly go wrong there? Well after waiting instead of him taking the food away and boxing it politely and bringing it back, he threw a box which looked only designed to take your new hamster home from the local pet store definitely not for pizza. After it was launched at us it landed on the edge of our table and my parter had to catch it and with huge embarrassment pack it herself. If you want great service and good for the same price I recommend the restaurant above and to avoid...
Read moreI tell ya one thing. As a tourist I understand you may want to try something Polish, but you won't find anything worthy in this city, well instead of feeling down, why not give a chance to this Italian restaurant? I can say with full confidence and at least a splash of experience in a field of Italian cuisine that this place is a gem. Food was immaculate, proper tomatoes, proper cheese, everything was spot on as it should be. My only inquiry was the soft drinks where I'd rather see Italian variants of Fanta and Coca cola which in fact taste different and in a good way. I believe though that it's something that might happen in the future as I saw that this restaurant is very restaurant oriented but not in the boring way where they do the most bland food appealing to the most of people. No, they give very best to bring you the best Italian experience. When it comes to staffing we've been taken care of but a friendly young girl and also Kinga which was amazing at her job. Huge bright smile, spark in the eye and enthusiasm are definitely her best traits. She was communicative, friendly and absolutely adorable and that's been decided by all three of us that were eating there. We liked the service and food to the point that we are actually contemplating to go there tomorrow again. It is so worth it. I wish them best of luck and I'm sending greetings to Kinga and rest of the...
Read moreDuring my recent trip to Poland, one of the absolute highlights was dining at Cristina Restaurant in Zakopane. Without exaggeration, it was the best food experience of my entire journey, combining an elegant atmosphere, professional service, and outstanding culinary artistry.
From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for the evening. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and attentiveness that went far beyond standard hospitality. They were knowledgeable about the menu, eager to recommend dishes, and attentive without ever being intrusive. Their professionalism made the entire dining experience feel refined yet relaxed.
The food itself was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was beautifully presented, with a perfect balance of flavors that highlighted the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Whether it was the delicate appetizers, rich main courses, or indulgent desserts, every bite demonstrated the chef’s skill and creativity. The fusion of traditional Polish influences with a modern twist was particularly impressive, making each dish both comforting and exciting.
