So me and my Wife were in Poland 🇵🇱 on a winter break from our home in Manchester, England 🏴 and we were staying in Zakopane.
We were walking through Zakopane and saw Owczarnia and decided to head in for food and drink, The restaurant was extremely busy(Which is always a good sign), We were warmly greeted by a waitress and seated upstairs.
To drink i ordered a pint of Local Beer 🍺 and my Wife ordered a large glass of red wine 🍷, To eat we had a shared starter of Local smoked cheese with cranberries which tasted absolutely amazing.
For mains my Wife opted for the Lamb with a side order of Roast potatoes and I ordered a meat stew which was an authentic Polish dish, The lamb was cooked to perfection and my Wife really enjoyed it, I really enjoyed my Stew it was amazing very rich and filling and the Roast potatoes were some of the best we had ever eaten.
The restaurant was spotlessly clean, As busy as the restaurant was the service was fantastic, Great variety of food, Superb food and drink, Authentic Polish building with authentic Polish dishes, Open fire grills downstairs, You can pay cash or card.
Me and my Wife post alot of reviews on Google and we always give our honest opinions and feedback on our experiences we review everything from service, atmosphere, food, drink, value for money etc and we have so far reviewed places from our home in Manchester(England) to Bezier Cap D'agde(South Of France), Rome(Italy), Split(Croatia), Island of Hvar(Croatia), Podgorica(Montenegro), Vatican City(Italy), Tirana(Albania), Sarande(Albanian Riviera), Krakow(Poland) and Zakopane(Poland).
We review everything from being local to our home in Manchester, England or out and about to holidays, City breaks etc and we have reviewed everything from beach clubs, Airbnbs, Travel, holidays, beauty treatments, football stadiums, pubs, takeaways, shops, supermarkets, Taxi's, shooting ranges, Hotels, Restaurants etc and we have over 30,000,000+ views on Google alone.
We highly recommend...
Read moreHyped but disappointing. Nobody meets you at the door - you take a seat on your own wherever you want. Hangers are only on the walls and are available only for those who’re sitting next to walls. If you take table in the middle, be ready to store your clothes behind you having in mind that the benches don’t have backrest. Tables and benches are long, so you may have to join some pair/family already sitting and occupying half of table. If you’re the first at the table - be ready for some people landing next to you in the mid of your family dinner. Live music was excellent, Polish folk songs performed by super-driving quartet caressed the ear. Meat preparation process attracts the eye - all these huge meat pieces being grilled with fat dripping to embers are spectacular. Food was moderate, though - meat from mutton set was over-dried, sausages were with sharp pieces of bones and sinews. Over-estimated in total. There’s a bunch of nice spots around worth to visit, with much better quality of food and much better value...

Amazing thing they let us order 15mn before closing & sit in and eat during those 15mn while every other place was kicking guests away starting 20:30.
Brownie peanut butter Cake wasn't bad. About 3.5 stars.
Waffle wasn't Freshly made, hence dry, zero sweetness. The cream on it also had zero sugar so I felt like I'm eating at a hospital.
The interior looks somewhat confusing as for its identity, Costed them a lot for sure with all the wood & custom-made sofas, BUT, if you're using Mountain style Zakopane Engraved Wood, you definitely don't make the Couch on it Modern with White leather and glass walls as in modern snobby cafés... Modern & Traditional can only be merged in certain careful ways, this is NOT one of them. Not if I'd ever enter there again, atmosphere is a big thing when you're in a touristic mountain area, & that...
