Me and my friend visited this place at 30rd of January to celebrate birthday. Really good big hall, nice atmosphere. The only unpleasant thing is service. When we came inside we were seated really fast, because half of the tables were empty. Then I asked waiter to give me one more chair, so me and my friend could put our bags on it. He gave us a chair, but said “if someone comes - I’ll take the chair back”. In 2 minutes came another waiter (or manager) and said that he have to take the chair back, I asked where i can put our bags, he answered “I don’t know”. I had to put my bags on a windowsill. Awful attitude towards clients in a nice place like that.
Th good thing - food. We ordered scallops, snails and duck breast. Each dish was presented by waiters really good, also nice combination of different tastes, such as truffle, sweet potato, marinated cauliflower and others. Drinks were good too, lemon and orange lemonades.
Prices are okay for this level of dishes.
I would give 5 stars, but: Not having a place to put belongings in a restaurant and How waiters acted spoiled my experience in this place. And I can see in other reviews criticism about service. I hope when i visit Zakopane next time and go to this awesome restaurant - situation will be solved and my experience...
Read moreOur dining experience at Drukarnia Smaku was a bit of a rollercoaster. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a manager whose manner can only be described as unwelcoming - a start that left us feeling rather like interlopers than invited guests.
However, this sour first impression was quickly dispelled by our attentive and amiable waiter, who guided us through the menu with grace and enthusiasm.
The standout dish of the night was undoubtedly the chowder, a riot of flavors, exquisitely prepared and presented. It hit the mark with a comforting warmth and satisfying depth that would make it a worthy contender for any food lover's bucket list.
As for the rabbit, it was a mixed bag. The meat was tender and succulent - cooked to perfection. But the accompanying sauce bore a hint of burnt bitterness that, although subtle, detracted from the overall enjoyment of the dish.
The loin, however, was a carnivore's dream. Juicy and cooked just right, it reassured us of the kitchen's competency.
In sum, the culinary prowess displayed by restaurant shines through in their outstanding dishes. However, the initial lack of warmth from management warrants a word of caution to...
Read moreInitially given a table for two as a walk in straight away, so we hoped onto a good thing. Once mains & starters were ordered & then starter came which was ok. We then sat for nearly an hour for our main & was only then approached by a waiter who advised us to wait another 10 mins without any real explanation. Once mains arrived which were ok & table was cleared we waited a while for another waiter to bring the desert menu. We had got the attention of a waiter who just told us to wait & walked off to serve other diners. Once a waiter did arrive with the desert menu we choose our deserts within 5 mins but then again sat waiting which seemed like an age for a waiter to come but buy that time we had had enough so decided to ask for the bill. When told we had to wait so long and now decided for the bill no apology was forthcoming, which then made us realise that the service we were actually given at Drukarnia Smaku Cristina in Zakopane is below what we expected & soured our experience of visiting this establishment.
My opinion avoid if you would like...
