Odskocznia Restauracja i Catering — Restaurant in Zakopane

We do not recommend this restaurant. The space is beautiful, but the rest is a disaster. The service from the waitresses is disastrous. At first we were served by one who was terribly stressed . When we finally ordered drinks from her, the second waitress came saying that her colleague does not speak English and that we should repeat her order. So we repeated to her: a glass of red wine, a glass of prosecco, tea and coca cola. We waited for drinks for about 15 minutes, I note that there were about 2-3 tables in the restaurant. After 15 minutes, they brought drinks, with the fact that they forgot one drink. When ordering food, I had to inform the waitress that we wanted to order now because we’ve been waiting a long time. Well, the food arrived. Chicken quite fine, soup delicious but the lamb was dry. During the whole time, she did not come to ask us if everything was okay, despite the fact that she saw that we immediately put the food aside and did not eat it. The atmosphere was such that 4 waiters were talking at the bar, while one whole table preferred to leave. The chef bell about 2 times that the food was ready, and the staff continued in the debating circle. A disaster. I wanted to stand up and bring the food to the table for the customers by myself. We went to pay with the fact that we warned them that we would not pay for that one meal. And then we look at the bill and we noticed that them charged for a whole bottle of prosecco for €20 instead of a glass of prosecco. Recently we visited this place, as it looks very nice and cozy. We had trouble getting an English menu, our English friend who has cancer wanted to order something simple, not from the menu ( as most dishes are traditional ones) he wanted to get scrambled eggs. We were rudely told it was too late, and it's not possible to do so. Also they would not know how to make up for the price for such a dish! Crazy 🤣 Anyways,we got burgers with fries for ourselves, what we got was dry, overcooked fries with burger on dry bun which made me sick the very next day. When I complained about the fries, the waiter said "they look ok". I replied "well, they don't taste ok. Would you eat such fries?" She said "yes, I would and often do. I like them". I just replied " yeah, but would you PAY for them?!" Honestly, I feared breaking my tooth on them. It was like eating wooden sticks. Overall, a cute place, with nice decor but lacking a human understanding... Probably won't go...

I wanted something hearthy and schnitzel type of dish. Which is why i got “Konkretny Schabowy”. And i was not dissapointed at all. A very big dish which was served quickly. I arrived here 1h and 15 min before closing. And my girlfriend ordered “Placek Po Zbójniku “Odskocznia” - which is like a potato pancake and has gulash on top of it (a berf stew). I swapped over some fries with her since she doesnt like marinated pickles that much. But we were so suprised of the quality and the quantity of the dishes. You couldnt go wrong with these. At 21:00 one hour before closing there came a pretty girl who started playing accordion and sang some songs. ON A SUNDAY EVENING? Such a great surprise and i wish there were more locals who could have sang together with the accordion playing woman.

If i ever end up in Zakopane - i will come here again. Im sorry that i had only card and couldnt leave some tip. Hence i am writing this reciew to you guys....
