Hola Mexicana — Restaurant in Zielona Góra

No spicy food in a mexican restaurant, no toilet paper or towels on the toilet. Staff has no autonomy, typical polish run business, where staff is too afraid of owners to do anything out of ordinary, to go the extra mile for the customer, such as sell you extra bread with your meal etc. You really need to give staff some agency here in Poland. The food and plating/presentation was bellow average, you cannot put wet salad on the plate next to fries unless you want them soggy and swimming in the salad dressing(easily sorted with tiny bowl inside the plate just for the salad or serving it on the side) Refried beans not great, all of the food needed depth of flavour and freshness. For example the chilli con carne could be flavoured by adobo sauce with deep colour and flavour. The salsa is supposed to be fresh with fresh vegetables lime juice and herbs..it looked and tasted tired..hope my pointers...

I came to Zielona Gora very late and all serving food restaurants were closed. Only Hola was serving food. After I entered the restaurant I was welcomed very warmly by the friendly staff. There were only 10 minutes until the kitchen would be closed but they treated me no differently. Even the chef came to explain and help me to choose the food. Naturally, I started taking photos of the restaurant and the waitress suggested wearing flowers as a Mexican tradition. Shortly after the food came I realized it was 20 minutes after the time the kitchen should be closed. The food was attractive and tasted gorgeous. I really enjoyed it. Lovely restaurant with great decor and the food…..,Shockingly delicious! Who knew in Poland that you can find as close to TexMex food that can be found outside of Texas. I had guacamole and shrimp fajitas which did not disappoint. I will say that the portions were smaller than average although I was satisfied. I had the orange cinnamon tea for my drink which was fantastic. The staff were also very pleasant and accommodating. This place will be exploding with customers within the next few years, they may be forced to build other establishments throughout...
