Absolutely delicious meal. Best octopus I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve tried many. It was very tender and perfectly cooked. All the food was delicious home style cooking, generous portions but not heavy. Service was also wonderful, very attentive and kind people. It’s a family restaurant and the chef came out to see how the meal was. Everyone clearly took a lot of pride in the food. House wine was also great. A little off the beaten path. Outside is very unassuming you can’t even really tell it’s a restaurant, but when you go inside it’s a very warm inviting atmosphere with incredible food, feels like someone’s home. I was actually waiting for another restaurant to open and instead saw Taskinha dos Combatentes and decided to go in. I had to wait a couple of minutes for them to finish setting up but once I was inside, the service was impeccable. There was a little bit of a language barrier but Dario was very kind to me and explained the menu in great detail. This place is fantastic, We are a family from Australia and received a recommendation from our host, and we are so happy we had the chance to eat the delicious food that they serve up. Dàrio greeted us and made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in, he spoke fantastic English and helped explain the menu and made recommendations.
