Great food and service! The smaller places often offer the better service. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming! He assured us of the use of fresh products only and made recommendations before ordering. His kindness will be remembered. We wanted a place which wasn’t touristic but offered good food, this place was recommended to us by a local.

My boyfriend ordered the Portuguese steak which was absolutely phenomenal! 1000/10. I still remember the flavour in my mouth. The prosciutto with the steak was a great combination and the sauce it was drowned in was to die for! Even the potatoes left us speechless.

Went to the bulldog bar tonight....on 1st impressions it looks very small but there was 6 of us and got a table with plenty of space. The girl who was working was exceptional. I had the montrary chicken which was lush, hubby had the ribs and he was so impressed. Boys had nuggets and a steak. You get 2 sides with your meal. Hubby just wanted chips so as he didn't pick an extra side he got 2 portions of chips!!! My youngest fell asleep and the girl even got his good made up fresh for us leaving so he could take it home instead. Offered shots on the house at the end too. I ate the Portuguese steak. 1000/10 recommend getting this. The pickled vegetables and the prosciutto with potatoes and an amazing tender steak. All covered in really tasty sauce. I will defiantly come again.

The next day I had to update this review as I came here again with my girlfriend and we ordered the Ribs with Chicken wings. This is hands down some of the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life. They were so tender yet they still had a bit to them perfectly cooked. The barbecue sauce tastes home made. The chicken wings were so crispy and tasty. This deserves 6 stars if I could give it.
