Grill En Oven — Restaurant in Albufeira

This is a restaurant that should be avoided at all costs. We ordered two starters along with one main: The main was supposed to be the Portuguese Gluten free pasta dish. Restaurant was not busy when we arrived, only 5 tables. More people did not arrive for 10/15 mins after. We asked for the bill for the sangria after we had waited 40 mins for two starters and one main course. Four other tables arrived after us and three tables were served before we seen our starter. staff said it takes much longer to cook GF. (Not told when ordered) And said they were bringing the starters with the main ? More excuses were made and we were not given the bill. Bullied into staying and then served food eventually.

The Portuguese GF pasta dish was mussle and prawn with spaghetti and butter. After the wait, it was very disappointing. No seasoning, just butter, I thought Portuguese food was more than this. Very bad experience, save yourself and...

If you want special Portuguese sauces like olive oil and burn garlic and call police when you not happy this is place to go for food described different from the menu and police don’t care that the food isn’t what is on the menu when you complain , also slow service as they don’t care for customer service !!!!! Gf is Portuguese and she said big let down even police said to avoid !!!!! Only way to improve is if people don’t go into this place ! I am SO glad that we tried this restaurant without reading some of the reviews which do it a major injustice—the food was not only very fresh and reasonably priced, the presentation was great. Our table of 4 had three different meals and appetizers: the covert, wings and nachos all received rave reviews from our crew. The homemade lasagne was delicious and the serving was quite generous. I had the chicken kebab with the mixed vegetable side—HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Not only was the presentation of the hanging kebab with the flame spectacular, the taste was top notch.
