Discovering Duarte was a true delight! This authentic Portuguese restaurant is a true hidden gem that not only serves delicious food but also provides warm, attentive service that makes you feel right at home.

The Duarte team looked after us from the moment we arrived. The service was genuine, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable; they were happy to walk us through the menu and make recommendations.

The food? Absolutely outstanding. The freshly baked pastéis de nata were the ideal finishing touch, and the rich and filling caldo verde and the expertly grilled bacalhau (salt cod) were all bursting with flavour and authenticity. Every plate is evidently centred around traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients.

Had a reservation and arrived on time. Placed my order and after one hour they bring my wife dish (then they took it back and delivered it to another table), I asked again for our meals and after one and an half hours finally it came. Our order was delivered to another table that had order after us and we were there waiting. The food was very poor in quality, my octopus was so hard I couldn't eat almost nothing (only the tips of the tentacles) and my wife's fish was bone dry. Awful experience! The only thing that wasn't as bad was that my son food came first and he didn't had to wait 1 and an half...

Chose to go here last minute over my better judgement as ten years ago when I came here the waiter was really rude. Not sure if it’s ran by the same people still so decided to try again. Food was bland, very mid. In my opinion, it didn’t match what was on the menu. I got the prawn salad which was ok but overpriced. My boyfriend got the 1/2 chicken and chips, didn’t look like half a chicken, more like 1/4. There was no sauce on the chicken so it was very dry. Chips were unseasoned as well.
