I hate to write such a negative review. However I believe in the interest of saftey that people dont attend this hotel via jet2. Firstly, the photos you see online from the hotel are completely inaccurate. Absolutely awful stay. The hotel is outdated, dirty (mouldy bathroom, dead bugs on ceiling, no clean towels each day), and badly run (you cant cook in the apartments easily the facilities are so poor). It’s right on a main road in a built-up area, with noise blasting all night no matter which way your room faces. The walls are paper thin — you hear everything: people walking, talking, being intimate, scraping furniture and more. Our first room was next to a guest blasting music until 1am for days — staff refused to move us until I was in tears. Cleaners rarely turned up, sometimes not until 5pm when we needed to get ready, and even broke some of our toiletries. Towels are a complete scam — charged £10 each for the smallest mark, then taken away and never returned. Bathrooms were mouldy, facilities broken, pool unusable, and the “gym” a joke. Staff were rude, dismissive, and even shouted at me not to complain to Jet2. One of the rudest members of staff are in photos of other reviews. The surrounding area is nothing but a loud party strip, definitely not suitable for families. The entertainment is awful, not for children, loud karaoke wailing can be heard until 11pm to the 2nd floor. Worst of all, we came down with the worst stomach virus after eating the food here. We are home and still sick, on route to see a UK doctor.

Well, for a starters, this is not up to a 4 star hotels standard as stated. At a push, I'll give it 3 stars or more, like 2.5. It's not only due to dated look and equipment but some of the services which normally are inclusive in a 4 star hotels and above are all paid for services here. For example, pool towels, you have to pay daily rate to have them. And can even swap for fresh each day. If you buy, for example, a four day package can only swap them once. Deposit safe, paid service. And it's old school one where you have to carry a massive key with you. Indoor swimming pool, paid. To get in have to buy swimming cap from them. Not even an iron is inclusive. You pay extra for what they call "sunny side apartments", thinking you would be able to enjoy some sunshine on your balcony. Well, I couldn't be anymore wrong, you will not get any throughout the day. Microwave, which looks like from 60s movies with analogue dial. Broken barely working air conditioning with filthy filter, which, by the way, was mostly the case we've all got ill upon return. Bed mattress makes squeak noise with each move of your body, kind of when you rub polystyrene. Oh, and the pools are absolutely freezing, both adults and kids, despite temperature oscillating around 33-35°C at the time of our trip. It literally feels as if they pump cold water into it throughout the day. Only positive is good, quick and efficient customer service and level of cleanliness.

Firstly must say that the staff at the hotel are fantastic. Always available to help, no matter the time. The whole place is immaculate clean, both inside and out. The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, with clean towels replaced each day. Only downside on the room are the beds. The mattresses were very hard. The hotel did have wi-fi but was very weak signal throughout and constantly dropped out, but was on holiday to sit on the Internet, do wasn't an issue for my family. The location of the hotel is quite good. Lots of nearby restaurants and bars, but not rowdy or over the top noisy and not problems. There is a very close supermarket, which pretty much stocks all you need for your stay. The beach is only a short 6 minute walk, but be aware of the steep hill. Not an an issue going down, but a struggle going back up. There is a carpark (free) at the bottom if you have transport. The hotel will book you a taxi though if needed. The hotel does have a couple of pools, with main one being only a few steps from the hotel entrance. This was also kept clean and tidy. They do not allow the reserving of sun loungers , so no crazy early morning dash with towels. There always seemed enough sun loungers and sun umbrella's available. The pool does have a cafe attached which serves hot and cold food and drinks. They also offered poolside attention brought out to you. I would recommend this hotel.

I cannot fault this hotel.  |From the reception to the bar and pool staff, they are very special people. Each one went over and beyond for us. Anything you ask is not a problem. |The receptionists took time to talk to us each time we passed by. They booked us taxis to all of our outings. They advised on best prices for us. They gave directions and recommended food and drink places.  The bar and pool staff were absolutely lovely. They were happy and enjoyed all of our company. They recommended the entertainment in the bar on the nights we should attend.|The shops and surrounding restaurants are beautiful with very friendly staff. We didn't encounter one single problem with any dining experience. |I see comments stating how low quality this accommodation is. I personally loved it all and I'm a regular hotel goer. I slept very well and found the apartment so comfortable with everything we needed on our stay. |Each day our apartment was changed, cleaned and topped up. |Our apartment was on the ground floor , we had 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. |Location of this hotel is amazing. Lots of surrounding bars and food . Supermarket only one minute dander from hotel. Bigger supermarket 3 min walk in the opposite direction. 10 min taxi into Albufeira and old town. Varying taxi costs. Most were about 10 to 12 euro for 4 of us. Sometimes maybe on peak traffic the tariff increased slightly. |We came just at the end of September.  So it was perfect as it was not as busy. We had near 30 degrees temperature.  Zero cues. But still plenty of craic. My kids had the pool to themselves each day. The outdoor pool was amazing with a great deep end. The pool area was kept well. Very clean. Sun loungers all in good condition.  The snack bar was well stocked.|The entertainment on 2 nights was great and lively.  It ended at 11.30 then some good music played on a speaker until  about 12. After this the hotel was relaxing and quiet.|The beach short distance from the hotel. |I want to make a special mention to a bar that is just a bit up from the supermarket called CABANA and the most friendliest bar man called Abhur who brought us the most cute cocktails mocktails. The kids got little gifts as well . They made one of our birthday such special night bringing us shots with a sparkler and played happy birthday. This bar is by far the quirkiest bar I've ever been in. The decor is stunning with an art gallery down the back and pool tables. Great music playing and cocktails decorated with a huge portion of fruit. The bar staff brought popcorn and crisps. Cocktails were very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. I sampled so 4 different cocktails. The kids had 3 different types of mocktails. Each drink was so nice.  One of the mocktails came with a biscuit and fruit attached. My girls even got hair clip gifts and rings all in the decorations of the drinks . Very special bar that is family run. |Dolphin seacret tours is worth a day out by the marina. |We have memories that will last us a lifetime.  Thank you OCEANUS , thank you "Olhos de Água" and Albufeira |and all the lovely helpful friendly staff. |We hope to...

After reading the reviews before coming, i definitely felt some nerves, but I need not have worried! This hotel is outstanding! Is it a 5 star all-inclusive?! No, of course it's not, but don't believe everything you read. Granted, everyone has their own experience, and here is ours (and we are still here!)|Arrived early Sunday, so the room was not ready, but no problem! They have a luggage room to store, and we went down to the fabulous beachfront where there are an assortment of cafes, restaurants, and bars! We then came back at 1 pm and our room was ready. It's massive (room 106). It has a pullout in the lounge/kitchen/diner and a bedroom with 2 singles. The bathroom has one of the best showers I have ever had in a hotel (and I have been to a lot), and you have everything here to enjoy a great self-catering holiday! |There is a supermarket less than 5 mins away, which is like Lidl/Aldi, with fresh baked goods, fruit, fresh fish counter, toiletries, so if you have forgotten something, do not fret!|They love a happy hour out here, so the going rate is €3 for a large beer (be careful, the local beer which is Super Bock is pretty strong 🤣), and they also do a happy hour by the small pool at the hotel for €2.50 12pm-6pm.|The pool areas are lovely and clean, and there is a snack bar where you can purchase an assortment of food and drink. There is no need to do the old song and dance with the sunbeds. We have been down there at half 9 and got some (family of 4). Be aware that the main pool and smaller pool are very deep, but there are kids' pools as well.|The staff are absolutely brilliant, from the gorgeous ladies who clean the rooms to the wonderful staff at the reception and the pool area/restaurant staff!|There is a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, and a hob in the room, so we have done the majority of breakfasts in our room, as well as lunches. The air-conditioning worked perfectly during our stay, which was very welcome as it was 37c on Sunday at about 6pm! Also people who say the rooms are dated, they are not, they are just in keeping with Portuguese charm. If you are looking for something flash and modern, then you will not get it here, but we did not want that, we prefer a more inkeeping experience.|The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away, however what I would say is if you have mobility issues, it is tricky as its a pretty steep hill down, and what goes down must come up!|If you take a right outside the hotel, where the cats and wine shop is, and walk down for 5-10 minutes, there is a fabulous beach with an assortment of water sports on offer. Would also highly recommend a trip to Vilamoura. It is absolutely stunning, lots of bars and restaurants by the marina, and the majority of boat trips leave from here. You're looking around €15-€20 each way, but it is well worth it!|All in all we would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who is happy to do self catering. We shall definitely be back!|Keep up...

The wife and I have just returned from a wonderful week at the Oceanus. We were delighted with the hotel, it's facilities, friendly staff and it's location. The only small downside was having a room on the main road side of the building which at times could be a little noisy and the balcony didn't get any sun. However, this did not detract from the overall fabulous stay we had. Right at the start the friendly reception made our day when telling us our room was ready 3 and a half hours before the 4pm check-in time, which was a massive bonus.|The standard one bed apartment we had was large clean and comfortable and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Yes it was a little dated but when you are not paying high end prices this is to be expected. It even had UK TV channels for us non-party animals. Room was cleaned and towels changed daily.|The swimming pool, even if it was a little cold, was large enough to get a few lengths in and there were always enough sunbeds, even after the inevitable towels left to reserve them contrary to the house rules. However the areas around the pool were large enough to move beds around to chase the sun. The snack bar/restaurant had an extensive, if a little expensive, food menu and drinks menu and the portions were good and food tasty.|The location of the accommodation was excellent with numerous bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk. We ate out every night except one and found the food to be excellent quality wherever we ate but would recommend Franks and Calherios. There's also a large supermarket 5 mins walk away with a small one about 2 mins away and prices were reasonable,|The beach is only about 10 mins walk down a steep hill and is quite small but has a number of bars and restaurants. Don't worry there is a longer but less taxing route back which takes you up to the main Albufeira road( 20 mins) and back to the hotel. There are numerous other local beaches if you are willing to walk and access them downhill, or get a 5 euro Uber. The best of these is Praia do Barranco das Belharucas with around 4 miles of golden sand and spectacular cliffs. You can walk to Villamora, like me, if your are so inclined. There are a couple of places to eat and 2 sunbeds and a parasol 20 euro. The sea is warmish( well warmer than the pool) and was lovely to swim in.|All in all a great time was had by both us and we have booked to return for 9 nights, same time next year.|All in all Olhos D'agua is a small resort but with more than enough places to eat and drink and is only a 6-10 euro uber from the old town, for those who like it a little more lively. There is also a local bus 2.5 euro to Albufeira bus station, however it's either a 30 min walk our another bus to the old town bus terminus. |Just one final mention to all the staff who were friendly and attentive and to Miguel who looked after us at the pool snack bar and during the happy hour in...
