We started with King Prawns and Goats Cheese, both of which were expertly prepared. The prawns were tender and full of flavor, while the goats cheese was creamy and rich—both dishes setting the tone for what was to come. For the mains, we chose the Pigs Cheeks and a Sirloin Steak, both of which were exceptional. The pigs cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender, while the steak was cooked to perfection, accompanied by a fresh, homemade chimichurri sauce that truly elevated the dish. The wine recommended by the owner was a perfect match, enhancing the flavors of both courses.

To end the meal on a sweet note, we shared a delectable homemade Banoffee dessert. It was indulgent and delicious, paired with a complimentary glass of the finest port, which was a delightful touch.

We had the pleasure of dining at Manjar da Medronheira recently, and it was truly a memorable experience. The highlight of the meal was the Argentinian T-Bone steak, which was cooked to perfection. Accompanied by crispy fries and a rich peppercorn sauce, it was a delight for the taste buds. The chargrilled octopus with potatoes was equally impressive, tender and full of flavor, with just the right amount of char.

The food was outstanding, but what truly made the evening special was the exceptional service. The owners and staff went above and beyond, offering a level of hospitality that made us feel truly welcomed. On a wet and windy evening, they even offered to give us a lift home, which was a thoughtful gesture that we greatly appreciated.

Extremely disappointing experience,

First off we were seated in what was essentially the car park. It was a while before anyone came to take our order, and when they did, we weren’t given drink menus and had to guess.

Starters took 45 minutes to arrive after ordering. Then, when it came to the main courses, some dishes arrived 25 minutes after others, meaning half our table had already finished eating before the rest were served.

The food itself was underwhelming. The burger was dry, the bun was hard, and the meat was heavily over-salted. Nothing stood out.

What made the experience worse was the complete lack of acknowledgment or apology for the delays and poor service. No effort was made to make things right or even check in on how the meal was going.

Only positive was that our waitress was nice. Overall, I would not recommend...
