Change of menu when the chef feels like it, but no one tells you anything differs from the menu! Bread butter and pate as a starter on menu, we got bread butter( on a silly glass plate tha rocked when trying to get the tiny butter pats) with a bowl of chopped RAW fish, that neither of us would ever eat) Everything, including the expensive red snapper I chose, was so over salted, it was impossible to eat, even my fresh veg! NOT to mention the fish wasnt DE-BONED!!! Had to spend ages picking them out myself! Desert was missing half of the portion. I had mentioned I couldn't eat dairy, meaning cream and ice cream. My Desert was strawberry soup, chopped fruit and an Almond cake. I specifically asked if they had sorbet instead of ice cream( no sorbet on menu) and was told yes. Great! It came with sorbet and most of the other bits, but NO Almond cake. Plonked in front of me with no explanation at all. Asked where the cake was and was told the chef hadn't put it in as I had dairy intolerance. Why it was a slice of cake! Chef likes to experiment so had added chocolate!!! No explanation, not told, just given half the Desert. Sent back. No mention of the cocktail bar and outside seating (our friends had told us about and recommended) got stuck on a small table for 2 next to the toilets! Overwhelming service, constant questions and never left to get on with our food in peace! At 62 and 63 years of age, we are able to pour our own glass of water and wine, don't need, or want someone to decide when one if us needs topping up! Expensive and not worth the time or money. very pleasant enrichment in the region with very high quality standards for everything. Not cheap, but the price is justified. Excellent fresh seafood, oysters, fish, etc prepared to perfection. The plates are not very large according to Portuguese standards; so you need a starter, a main course and a desert. The wine selection is huge and the wines are stored at the right temperatures. The service is very polite and correct. The prices for food and wine are correct and span from very low to very high. Worth one star Michelin. I I am really picky: the menu is written in very small fonts, in dimmed light difficult to read; so we had to listen to the recommendations of the waitresses. We were promised that they are aware and that this will be changed very soon. Also the noise level is very high inside: there is no acoustic absorbing material like curtains, carpets, acoustic ceiling etc. This should be solved in summer on the gorgeous terrace. But these minor early start issues do not reduce the overall superb surprise experience to celebrate my birthday. We will come...

Really enjoyed my birthday dinner here. The ambience is so beautiful and calming. The customer service was impeccable. Thank you to Raquel, the other lady (I forgot to ask her name) and the gentleman for providing me and my friend a great customer service all throughout the night. The food was so delicious, although I did wait for an hour for my food. Thank you for my birthday cake. It was so good and I appreciate every single one of you that made my birthday special and memorable.
