I'm a basic person: cleanliness, quiet and a friendly staff go a long way to satisfying me.||||This place was clean, quiet and the staff, super friendly.||||Nice room, had a pool and deck area, indoor and outdoor seating for the restaurant was very convenient.||||It does not have air conditioning, but doesn't hide that fact in the booking details. On non breezy evenings it can get hot in the room. I'm from Winnipeg, so I love a cold evening to sleep in, but I managed by using the room fan and blowing in cool outside air from the patio. Out of an 11 night stay only two nights had no breeze.||||Tips:||||- You can eat in town a little cheaper, but you can't beat the convenience of a restaurant in the guesthouse. The food was wonderful as well.||||- It includes a breakfast, so take advantage of it - if you want eggs or some other simple thing, ask they are more than accommodating. We had a different breakfast pastry each of the 11 mornings. :)||||- Once you find it, it's conveniently located and we used the guesthouse as a base for our whole Algarve adventure.||||- The closet beach San Rafael, and is within walking distance, but it takes about 20 minutes. You head south, turn left on the main road, go a few blocks up the hill and you'll see a sign pointing to the beach (10 minute walk) - then you have another 10 minutes to go. It's a nice beach. We had a car and drove to a few local beaches all very nice.||||Gale and Rocha (30 minutes away by car) we're our favorites. You have to see the Bengali cave - just beautiful.||||- The marina is 5 minutes away by car - convenient for excursions.|||| - We found a Chinese restaurant on the way to Rafael beach and loved it. There was a mini-...
