It is really hard for me to write a review on this restaurant because to be fair with other burger restaurants around Europe I have to admit that there is a little room for improvement. Please do not get me wrong, the food is NOT bad (it is actually above average) but to elevate it to „the next level“ I highly recommend to use brioche buns and to switch out the very garlic heavy sauce to an American burger sauce. Also you could be a little more confident in using salt and pepper for the meat (eventhough there was salt and pepper on the table to adapt by yourself).
BUT - and this is what I am super grateful for - the overall experience at Roadside Kitchen was a straight up 10/10. The owner and his stuff are super nice people. We had a reservation for 20 and they managed everything perfectly. We felt super welcome and had a really, really nice evening (and a lot of drinks) with them. We even got a lot of Sambucca and vinho do porto on the house, which we honored with a big tip which they were super grateful for.
I would definetly recommend this place. The food is above average and the atmosphere they created for us was just amazing. Thank you guys so much for this evening!

Read moreThe food was tasty, but the staff was SO rude! They acted like we were bothering them, like it was a nuisance that we wanted to order some food. They didn't even say hello to us, it was straight to the point. Their attitude alone made us want to leave, but we were craving a burger so we stayed. At least the food was good.
Update- They have now replied to my comment with an excuse and an accusation instead of apologizing. As for what I'm being accused of, my deepest apologies. Had we been approached about it, we would have waited outside - we had 2 coffee cups, one empty and another 3/4 empty from a coffee shop nearby. Since we barely had anything left in the cups, we didn't think anything of it before entering the premises, but if they would've said something, of course we wouldn't have taken the cups inside as we are respectful people. But apparently that is an excuse to treat customers rudely now. I was intending on going back because I liked the food, but I guess they don't need more customers, since this is their stance upon getting a negative review regarding their...
Read moreYesterday we saw this establishment and were already liked the looks of it. A very kind serving lady aproached us and told us that she can’t explain the tastes, we have to try them ourselves. We went in and it was the best decision we made today. They have spanish Estrella Galicia on tap, finally for the first time in Portugal we had real beer. Then we had fries and onion rings with their homemade mayo, which all of them tasted amazing! Now for the main course, we had Big Jay and American Twist, which both of them were one of the, if not the best burgers we have ever had! The meat was extremely tender and juicy. Salad and the buns were super fresh. Even though there was so much meat (3 patties) in the Big Jay, the burger itself was balanced. Although you can’t pay by card, I highly recommend this place and will one day come back! Keep up the great work and thank...
