Just arrived home after a 5 day stay. The place is oldie worldie beautiful and exceptionally clean but my honest rating would be a 3 star hotel for most Europeans. Food is very good but can sometimes lack a bit of choice in the evenings. Becareful though some items aren't labelled correctly I took some vegetarian pasta on Wednesday night however there was tons of mince in it lol(luckily im not vegetarian) but for anyone who's vegetarian I can imagine thats gonna be a big deal for them. When I pointed this out to staff they told me it was tomatoes. (Id just be caution for anyone with a food allergy is all) There is plenty of salad/ choices of mains exactly what you would expect from a 3 star European hotel. Drink selection is there but is not top labelled drinks. I found it strange having to ask for water at the bar all the time, there was no water dispensers but there is a juice dispenser orange/tropical/pineapple postmix machine with a tea and coffee station. Theres a Lack of information about use of all the mgm muthu hotels. You can use all the facilities in sister hotels and use of the private beach area on the hotel across the way was an added bonus. We visited all the hotels during our stay but would recommend this one for people travelling 50 plus. Its level, easy access and atmosphere is much quiter than the sister hotels. Location is fantastic, uber will be your best friend €24 to airport and 3€ for all your short 10/15min drives Wasn't overly impressed with cleaning staff who during our entire stay made the 2 beds only ONCE. We needed to ask for towels and loo roll daily which is annoying, the reception staff are always happy to help. Entertainment was mainly this young boy with speaker a little bit of a let down hes a lovely kid but the average age there was 40plus he played dance music/rap most days was a bit weird. Not a hotel for anyone with kids as there is nothing for them playground is out back in the full sun and kids tiny pool is in full sun. Pool was not cleaned everyday. Found a lot of waiting staff quiet rude and lazy some had no English at all, one young waitress girl had to get another person to translate when asking for a fork Overall id stay again but the hotel needs major improvements and updating. Waiting staff need to be more attentive and then the cleaning room staff, well , to be honest done nothing. Lady who cleaned common areas of hotel was a very hard worker. I dont believe the price per night quiet matches the value. Either hotel needs to lower its nightly rates or improve facilities.

Read moreJust returned after a week away at this hotel. The staff were lovely, I was a bit worried after reading the reviews. However it was a lovely surprise that it wasn’t bad compared to the reviews. We stopped on the 4th floor, the room layout was very spacious, big bedroom (2 single beds that were big), good size bathroom with a shower in the bath. The living room was open with the kitchen and the 2 sofas pull out as small beds. TV in the living room, there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. The cleaners come every other day, they were also lovely! So every other day was clean towels and sheets. However we did have spare towels and toilet rolls in the closet along with pillows which is a great touch. The staff always were lovely. The location is perfect, 10 min walk to the strip and the beach. Shop just next door and a few sports Bars a minute walk away. The food was okay, there was pizza and chips every day with a mix of other foods (this is the buffet one in this hotel). It was never cold as reviews would say not in our experience anyway there was one day were the pizza was going cold but still warm. The other restaurants you can book at the reception. You can also go to the other hotels with in this chain and use the all inclusive at certain bars. We went to the one with the ocean bar and just asked if we could use the all inclusive at that bar and they said yes so if you’re unsure just ask. The entertainment was questionable from a young persons point of view (20s) there was Darts which was ace, at around half 11/12ish but not every day, there was water polo but later in the day around 3/4is and aqua-robics but again not every day, there was salsa lessons. The evening entertainment was, Opra, live singers, bingo ect around 9ish. The bar was open 11am-10pm. There was an all inclusive club thing open 10pm till midnight at the Gardens a 2/3 min walk that you can use your all inclusive in. There were snacks in the afternoon. As for 5 star hotel I’d say it was a 3 star, at a push a 4 star. The pool was quite big and there was plenty of sunbeds and tables / chairs. There wasn’t anything like pool tables or air hockey though. But over all for the price it was an alright holiday! The balcony was very big also with a table and 2 chairs on. Forgot to take photos of the bathroom and bedroom! We did have a broken toilet seat but we let the reception staff know and they sorted it the next day! Can’t fault...
Read moreWe recently stayed at the hotel for a one week family holiday and the most part was good. Not awful, neither amazing. First day or 2 was super quiet (lovely). Food room was quiet, pool quiet. I believe my kids were the youngest in the hotel at the time and they are 12 and 15. Unfortunately the quiet was short lived as on day 3 we had a big group of older lads arrive (looked like a stag do) they basically took over the whole pool throwing around a hard ball, drinking in the pool and just being a bit rowdy (not the relaxing holiday we'd planned). Thankfully I think they were only there 3 days and I believe they were reminded of a few rules too. About day 4/5 lots of groups had arrived, mostly young lads and young girls. From this point we had what sounded like room parties going on till 4/5 in the morning. Banging of doors and shouting in corridors, rowdy around the pool, busy in the food room, not so enjoyable. Anyway.. moving on. Food was pretty average and something for everyone, noone went hungry. Could have mixed things up a bit more and I wasn't keen on the desserts section which was very much the same most days. Staff didn't interact much with customers but all polite enough and I think a few didn't speak good English (not a problem). Rooms were dated but absolutely fine for our needs. We didn't spend to much time in there and the beds were super comfy with the air con keeping us cool. If using the extra restaurants.. get booked in ASAP as seems they get booked up fast.. also some are actually not open or even built yet 😕. We tried the grill one just across the road and it was not the most comfortable but food was okay and a bit different from the buffet every night. Worth a try. Entertainment.. was chilled, nothing amazing. Lady singer she was good, didn't see many get involved with bingo or karaoke (not my thing) There was a quiz night and a male singer other nights which we wasn't around for. All in all.. the place was to noisy for us (it is close to a lively strip) we won't be coming back but we did have a nice holiday for the most part.
Ps snack bar really needs some working on. Buns and burgers left open to dry up and frankfurters turned a dodgy colour. Small changes could sort that easily. Oh and if visiting make use of other pools especially the one next door (much quiter) we didn't know until...
