Scoobys Pool Bar — Restaurant in Albufeira

Got here early as expecting it to be busy, glad we did as got first pick of sunbeds, think the owner is Simon, lovely guy, great customer service, explained he had a bit off staffing problems as his bar staff were off so he done everything else, said he may be a few extra minutes, wasn't a problem for us, wasn't that long with things anyway, young lady serving called nayla, sorry if I spelt it wrong, is a credit to your business, above and beyond making people feel at home and always walking around seeing if you needed anything, and always with a smile, same as the older lady and the gardener for all pitching in, kids loved seeing the birds, fish, ducks, chickens, terepins and tortoises we used the park, kids loved, bit warm for crazy golf, will next time, definitely will be back thanks for making our day a very enjoyable 1, sorry nearly forgot about the pool, its very very deep at the deep end haha, think it was like 12ft or something, highly...

Disclaimer: We only visited Scooby's in the evening for food and drinks. Scooby's definitely caters for the British ex-pat and isn't shy about it. The food is ok and is exactly what you would expect from the menu. Portions are generous which is great. Drinks are the usual from a pool and sports bar. During the evenings when we visited in late October it was just (what I am assuming is) the owner and a waitress and anymore than 4 tables seemed to be a bit of a stress due to the small kitchen, fine if you are happy to wait. Play pool or mini golf while you wait, I guess! Go early if you want a table with a TV for any sports, it fills up quickly. Overall, good if you're looking for a pub away from UK but don't expect a slice...

One of the best eateries in southern Portugal! My fiance and I were in town, and between jet-lag and being accustomed to late night eateries in the US, found ourselves looking for food later in the night. I found Scooby's on Google and we gave it a shot. When we walked in we read the sign that they had stopped serving food for the night. As we were leaving, Scooby pulled up and told us to come on in and he would help us out. (I still wouldn't recommend showing up after they stop serving food and asking for it.) While it was not necessary at all - he went above and beyond to make us feel like we were the most important people in the world. 5 stars really isn't enough!
