A Hidden Paradise!**

Praia do Castelo is an absolute gem—one of the most stunning beaches we visited in the Algarve! Nestled between dramatic golden cliffs, this secluded cove feels like a secret escape with its soft sand, crystal-clear turquoise water, and peaceful atmosphere.

The walk down (and back up) the wooden staircase adds a bit of adventure, but it’s 100% worth it for the breathtaking views and serene vibe. Unlike some of the busier beaches nearby, Praia do Castelo was wonderfully uncrowded, making it perfect for relaxing, swimming, and soaking up the sun.

The natural rock formations and caves nearby are great for exploring, and the water was calm and inviting. Just be sure to bring snacks and water, as there are no facilities directly on the beach.

If you’re looking for unspoiled beauty away from the crowds, Praia do Castelo is a must-visit! We’ll definitely...

A small but charming beach that’s not overcrowded, which we really appreciated. Access is fairly easy if you’re fit – there are a few stairs and a slight incline, so it might be a bit tricky for elderly visitors who aren’t steady on their feet. But for younger people or anyone in good shape, it’s no problem at all.

There’s also a small beach bar/restaurant where you can grab drinks, ice cream, or even have lunch, which is a nice bonus.

We had a really lovely day here. The only downside is that the rock formations surrounding the beach create a sort of natural tunnel, which blocks a lot of the breeze. On very hot days, the heat can build up and feel a bit intense.

Lovely beach for the family, just enough waves to keep it fun for the kids without having to worry too much one of them will be swept out to sea. Sea is clear and fish swimming amongst the rocks. Restaurant is nice enough and ice creams and cold drinks available. Sunbeds and shade not terrible value for the full day (€15) and definitely want to get a chocolate donught from the sellers walking around. Literally tons of shells on the beach so be prepared to take home a bag for some art project you'll never actually get round to.

Slightly bigger beach than Praia do Evaristo, but less waves although sadly the beach restaurant isn't as good as Restaurant Evaristo or the beach shack at Evaristo beach. If you do end up here make sure you order fish as the other mains are slightly disappointing. aside from that it's a beautiful beach!
