Comporta Flavours — Restaurant in Alcácer do Sal

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had – avoid at all costs.

We ordered food for the table, and everything arrived except one steak. After waiting around 15 minutes longer, the missing steak finally came – but it was completely wrong: extremely fatty, badly cooked, and served with cold chips.

By this point we’d already been waiting for over an hour, so we told the staff we wouldn’t be paying for that dish (but we were happy to pay for the other three meals). What followed was even worse than the food: we were passed around between three different staff members before finally speaking to the manager.

The manager’s attitude was appalling – rude, dismissive, and aggressive toward my partner. I’ve travelled extensively and eaten all over the world, and I have never experienced such poor customer service.

This is not just about one bad steak – it’s about how a restaurant chooses to handle its mistakes. Any professional establishment would have apologised and fixed the problem on the spot. Instead, we were treated as if we were the problem.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Whoever owns it seriously needs to reconsider who is...

Tldr: service is bad, food is mediocre and overpriced. Is this what comporta is like, ripping off tourists?

Never thought I would agree with another 1 star review but for everything is a first.

We ate today at this restaurant and the service was just terrible. A mistake can be made but when one mistake becomes 3/4 "mistakes" it becomes incompetent service.

When you come to Comporta you know you are paying more for the food because of the location. You hope the food is therefore better or at least just as good as the rest of Portugal where it is cheaper. However the risotto (which they first forgot to make vegan) tasted like some salty mushrooms with rice and for this price I expect more, actual potatoes, than some 10 cent chips from the supermarket as my side...

Had an amazing meal at Comporta Flavours! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy indoor setting that made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and professional. The staff took the time to explain the dishes, which made the meal even more special. As for the food, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The razor clams were a standout, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The menu also caters to a variety of tastes, from fresh seafood to hearty options that would satisfy any golfer after a great round.
