If I could score them 0 stars, I would!!! Let me start by saying that this restaurant served me and my family bread with MOLD! We was a group of 5 adults and 4 kids. 4 of the adults ordered the hamburger on bread, and every single bread was moldy. Only when I was about to eat mine, is that I noticed it and straight away told everyone to stop eating and that’s when everyone inspected their burger and noticed that their burger was also moldy. I called the waiter, showed it to her ( she seemed shocked), I told her I wanted to speak to the manager, she then proceeded to take all of our plates and was seen showing it to her team and it was a little while before the manager came out to speak to us. When the manager approached us and we told her situation, she apologised and said she spoke to the kitchen team about this issue. However, we did not feel like this matter was taken serious enough as we felt like her solution to rectify the situation was not enough and we should’ve been addressed first before discussing it with your team what had happened. As we explained to her, that my sister ( one of the adults) suffers from inflammatory bowls disease and already taken a few bites of the burgers she only suggested we ordered something else and said she would remove the burgers off the bill. Which wasn’t good enough, as after seeing the moldy bread, we all lost our appetites and just wanted to leave! I wish I had taken pictures of this as evidence but the waiter quickly took the plates back. Overall, the experience was terrible and disgusting and will definitely report this to ASEA ( Portuguese food safety authority). We are on a girls holiday and have had a wonderful time in Lisbon so far - earlier on on the holiday we went to Irmano - another beach club 10 minutes away and had a wonderful day and meal.
Sadly not at Leblon; from the outside we were met with hostile hospitality. We arrived at opening, and the hostess was on her phone. We ordered coffees which took 20 minutes to come not the end of the world but considering the restaurant was empty not great.
The real issue came at lunch and dinner. What we will say was the food was as lovely, howevwr the service was terrible. At lunch, we waited an hour before having our drinks order taken. The waiter even commented on how long we were waiting.
It was worse at dinner - again the food was lovely, the lunch was so good we reordered the same dish, however a different dish came. On top of this, we had AGAIN been waiting over an hour for a drinks order. This is after being kicked off our longers in the beach, and we asked to sit on the lounger by the restaurant and told we had to spend minimum €60 for our 20 minute wait before our table. After many trips on the bar, we asked to have the wrong dish taken off our bill (when we had to leave and told them ache our Uber was waiting and prebookwd) we were guilt tripped and told that the waitress ( who was terrible rude and walked off multiple times mid conversation) would pay for the dish. The staff were also clearly talking about us, and it was obvious they didn’t not have nice things to say despite us being very polite.
We have had the best time in Lisbon 1 wonderful people food and atmosphere. So not waste you time here, go...
Read moreI never ever leave reviews anywhere but today I truly had to. I was having one of the absolute worst days after a tough personal time so my friend and I decided to go. I have 2 dogs so I called in advance to make sure they were allowed at the beach part of Leblon. They told me yes. When I got there I went straight down to the beach beds and was told I was not allowed to be there. I got frustrated because i had called and all and was stuck with my 2 dogs in a true hot day at 1pm with no sun umbrella. The manager Diana, immediately came to speak to me and although I was rude at first because I was upset, she not only calmed me but listened to me and explained that Leblon restaurant and lounge were completely pet friendly but not the beach. She took me to the lounge and took her time to explain to me which beds and areas were available and the price of it. She found us the most perfect spot in the lounge and truly turned my day around. Later, our waiter Daniel was incredible and sweet taking care of us and being the greatest. He recommended our drinks and our food and he didnt miss at all. The quality of everything was impeccable and no need to say ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Nevertheless, I mainly wanted to leave this comment to thank Diana and Daniel for their patience, their way to handle a situation and to exceed in what they promised when calming me down. Again, i never leave reviews and wonder if anyone will even read this one but I truly felt the need to because in a moment when i was absolutely shattered, Leblon and it’s staff, service and quality truly turned my day around and gave me so much joy.
