We adored the place. We had originally planned to go to a different restaurant but it was closed for vacation and decided on a whim to come to this restaurant.
We were greeted promptly by the owner/waiter and we had gotten the best service a family owned business can give. We had as a starter the clams, "Amêijoas à Bulhão Pato" with the toasted bread. Delicious on its on but the owner gave us some oregano to sprinkle on the bread after we dip it in the sauce that the clams are in and it is an excellent addition. We found the prices a bit expensive for the seafood, but we expected it since it is a beachside restaurant, so we opted for traditional meaty food and it was great. We will come back to try the seafood options eventually. We later told that the secret to making the sauce of the clams good is the mustard they add. Good to know. We've been to other restaurants and this is our favourite that makes these clams. Compliments to the chef ! Which is the waiters wife. We enjoyed the ambience as the music playing in the background wasn't loud and the view was fantastic. Thank you for a good dinner. We hope to come...

The manager showed up very rude saying Portuguese law didn’t allow dogs: untrue, Portuguese law lets owners decide.
We would be seating outside and even went in through the balcony as to not disturb because our feet were sandy.
At the the end he said “the Brazilian that did the reservation doesn’t know anything” Mind you I’m Portuguese and my bf is Brazilian, the restaurant staff around us is all Brazilian… So after the racist comment we ended the rude talk and left.

Read moreWe chose to eat there after some time on the beach. Most of the on the menu seafood is quite expensive. We ordered two seafood dishes and two steak dishes. Overall, the food very very good. The sea food dishes were made high quality ingredients. The steak, fries, and egg was also very tasty. The bill was among the highest we paid during our week in Portugal, but frankly, this was also one of our best meals of our trip. The young waitress that helped us was excellent, and could speak to us in English and Spanish. On the other hand, an older waiter was a bit rude and but the wrong dishes on our table on two occasions. The female waitress made our time there fantastic. Thank you.
