Read moreWent there for dinner but giving 2 stars only for the lovely guy who took out reservation last minute and for the food that overall wasn't that bad, everything else was a disaster.
We wanted to try the alcatra, we sat down and asked one waitress if they have it on the menu, she says yes only to find out with another waiter during our order that they ran out in that exact moment (what a weird coincidence). Ok nevermind we will order something else, should be local food so quite good right?Nah.
I am coeliac so I absolutely need gluten free options, the waiter (small guy with brown hair) didn't understand what gluten was even when I translated to Portuguese, luckily the kitchen had an option for me but I felt treated really bad for a customer with allergies, he was laughing and made it look like he was wasting time with us (table of 3). I ordered beef with handmade chips and salad that was ok, my friend ordered the regional plate with (too many) blood sausages that he didn't like and my partner ordered the bife especial that was good.

Read moreWent to this restaurant for a meal based on my hotel's recommendation for there food as it's my first trip to this island..I came in n spoken to waitress she didn't know English which is totally fine as in all other places .sat down asked for a drink n ordered the items from the menu .waitress brought paper napkin wrapped with knife & fork ,however what got me upset is there was a Portuguese couple that came in and service level was completely different with them. They were given cloth napkin and center table service .even were given bread basket and waitress seemed more interested in them as they spoke Portuguese rather than myself as a tourist .I felt degraded and called another staff member who didn't know English but she got me a young gentleman who didn't have uniform but knew a little of English. I mentioned to him what happened and that am very upset at the quality of service and told him to tell his manager that am leaving and will not be going back to that restaurant. He apologized and I...
