The seafood palatte with "arroz de marisco" set is superb for three of us. We were particularly impressed by the freshness of the crab! Besides, the atmosphere of the restaurant is so chill that you would definitely book a table and go with your loved ones. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the beautiful city of Braga, this restaurant is the one that you can never experience in the tourist districts in lisbon or porto.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel. The food was not good. The steak was very tough and tasteless. We told the waiter that, but he still left it on the bill. He also forgot to order the salad. The cod was covered in onion, so couldn’t really taste the fish. We should have eaten again at the hotel we were staying in, as it had much better food.

Há jantares que sabem a viagem. E este foi um deles. No Docamar não se vai apenas comer — vai-se viver um bocadinho de outra vida, daquelas com cheiro a sal e sol poente. É como abrir uma porta para outra latitude. De repente damos por nós longe dali, numa qualquer vila costeira, onde os azulejos contam histórias de seres do mar — há polvos que dançam nas paredes, anémonas coloridas e conchas que sussurram segredos trazidos pela maré. Tudo nos convida a ficar, a respirar devagar e a deixar o relógio à porta. É fácil esquecermo-nos de que ainda estamos em Braga. Ali dentro, o tempo tem outro ritmo. Fomos recebidas com uma simpatia que não se aprende — sente-se. Um calor humano raro. Começámos com umas gambas panadas: douradas, crocantes, com sabor a verão. Seguiu-se o arroz de marisco… e com ele veio o silêncio — daqueles silêncios bons, de quem está a saborear algo que reconforta a alma. Rico, generoso, feito por mãos que sabem aquilo que fazem. Braga tem muitos encantos, é verdade. Mas este... este tem alma de oceano. E remete-me para boas memórias à beira-mar.

I would say that staff competence is aet 90% of what perfection is. Just a little bit of extra guidelines by management would make this an all-5-star restaurant. They need more staff as well, during lunch service we felt the one waitress serving our side of the restaurant was too stressed (she had 12 tables, each with 4 chairs). A bit too much.

The food was fun, gamey and oceany as it should be.

The Pudim Caseiro was TO DIE FOR. I was sad I finished it, I didn't want...

If you’re coming to eat good quality seafood, stay away. Menu is misleading and the quality is far from decent. Seafood is not fresh at all. Shrimp were factory frozen, spider crab was definitely made in bulk and served in a shell, again not fresh. “Wild caught” sea bass was as chewy as gum. Service was very friendly, but being situated next to a gas station...
