Temple San — Restaurant in Braga

I initially gave this restaurant a 4* rating, stating I would be back. I went back, as promised, on a weekday shortly after two, most lunchtime customers having gone by then as it shuts at 3 before opening again at dinnertime. The place was a third full. I am disabled and asked for a sofa seat because of my chronic back pain, there were many available. I was told that because it was a party of two, they would not give me comfortable seating at one of the (many) tables of four. They then offered a table about 60cm from two friends having their lunch. I politely reminded the manager that that was a large restaurant and I would like to have some social distancing. I was then told: "Here, we don't do social distancing." This is illegal as of June 2021 and if those responsible cannot even guarantee a customer's basic comfort or social distancing, I dare not fathom what other untoward goings-on they engage in. Servers were polite. Place was clean. Food arrived quickly. All of that was good. Honestly the food just wasn't yummy. We tried at least 10 different things and they were all rather bland. Not bad. Not awful. Just boring. I wouldn't refuse to return but it would never be my suggestion. Probably should not have come as a surprise that although most of the menu items are covered by the one price, desserts are extra. We wound up spending close to €50 for two people at lunch. We visited this excellent restaurant, due to it being really close to our hotel. Don't be fooled by the simple outside building, it is very modern, clean and light inside. We were were welcomed by their friendly staff and the drinks arrived in just minutes. We first ordered a miso soup and "freestyle" sushi platter as a taster. The staff even asked for any allergies we might have. Food arrived within 5 mins. Now let me tell you, this is the best Sushi we have ever had. Luxury unlimited sushi, goyza, tempura (all home made) and only 37,80 € incl. two drinks. Temple San deserves the 5*...
