I ordered a tuna salad and asked if the tuna was fresh. The waitress said she could do it with fresh tuna “this time,” which already sounded strange. What she didn’t mention is that this would cost an extra six euros. That hidden charge only showed up on the final bill. Completely unprofessional.
We also ordered one portion of garlic bread but were served two. And of course, two were listed on the bill. We received both, but we definitely didn’t ask for them. It felt like they were either not paying attention or trying to sneak in extra items.
The staff made the whole experience uncomfortable. A woman of around 60 with glasses was especially pushy. She hovered constantly, asked for our order barely a minute after we sat down, and cleared our plates the instant we finished eating. It was obvious they were trying to rush us out as quickly as possible. That said, one of the younger waitresses was polite and respectful—she was the only positive part of the service.
The food overall was disappointing. Most dishes lacked flavor and care. The only exception was the carpaccio, which was genuinely good. But that alone isn’t enough to make up for everything else.
I definitely do not recommend this place, and we won’t be...
Read moreBeware: tourist trap! Don't order fish by weight.
When ordering the 'fresh fish' or 'fish of the day', the staff tries to point to you to that dish on the menu; one of the few dishes they price per KG. Me and my girlfriend ordered two types of fresh fish (we got dorade which we ordered, and parrot fish, which we didn't order..). We finished the fish and it wasn't bad, but when we got the bill it said we got 2.3KG of fish. For 96 euro!
We did see the kg-price on the menu, but they put a much heavier weight on the bill (because you can't check).
I've worked in fishmarkets for nearly 8 years. I know the head of any fish etc has weight aswell, which you price, but can't eat. But that does NOT account for 2.3kg fish for two people. We have been on the island for 5 months now and had many restaurants with better fresh fish at 1/2 to even 1/4 of the price!
When confronting the staff, you get the classic excusing talk: "but we have the prices on the menu" and "but you liked the food, yes?".
Recommend to stay clear of this place. Truly a shame they do this, because they have other dishes that are prepared quite well and are indeed...
Read moreAmazing restaurant located in a very nice part of town. We had a grilled fish that came with complimentary sides, and grilled squid. Both dishes are so fresh and very nicely cooked. The service was personal and welcoming. We had a fantastic evening dinning here. 80 euro for 3 people are very fair prices for the quality of food and the hospitable services.
My only feedback to the service team was on choosing which guest on the table to try the wine before serving. We came as 2 girls and 1 boy; our lovely waiter chose the only boy in the group to ask him to taste the wine before giving us the full bottle. Nothing wrong with the old gentlemaness😉, but it would be really lovely if the service team included the ladies into the decision process, too. Just ask who wants to try the wine would be perfectly fine😊
200/200 will come back again if we are in the island again and will recommend everyone who visit the island to eat in this...
