Great walk along the coast, with good views towards Câmara de Lobos with the cliffs of Cape Girão. This section of coast is a really nice walk from Funchal, where we also got a nice view of an old Portuguese Galleon sailing...

Great walk along the coast, with good views towards Câmara de Lobos with the cliffs of Cape Girão. This section of coast is a really nice walk from Funchal, where we also got a nice view of an old Portuguese Galleon sailing along the coast.

Im letzen Moment sahen wir diese Aussichtsstelle bevor wir Camara de Lobos erreichten. Immerhin sind hier ca 10 Parkplätze. Von dem kleinen Plateau, direkt neben den Parkplätzen, kann man wunderbar in die Bucht mit dem kleinen Hafen hineinschauen und fotografieren. Das Dorf ist auch dadurch bekannt, weil sich vor Jahren der englische Premier Winston Churchill hier aufhielt, der auch ein passabler Maler war.
