This place has really good food. My wife & I had been here twice in our two travels to Calheta & their customer service has been more than satisfying for me compared to what others have experienced. The manager Santosh is really a hard working individual, along with whole kitchen team. Even though they didn’t have Chinese items are not on the menu as this is Nepalese, Indian & Japanese restaurant; upon request Santosh had requested the kitchen team to create it for us & honestly speaking, it was different but on the good side of different. Dalene helped us get a taxi connection after a late dinner the first time we were there. The second we had a guest with kids with us & we were all served & treated very properly. We had tried their Chicken Samosas, Chicken Momos, Makhamali Kebab, Lamb Sheesh Kebab, Lamb Nepal Hot, Saptarangi Biryani, Lamb Biryani, Shrimp Fried Rice..tried these throughout both of our trips there & have no complaints about any dish at all. They were all really good for us. And if you know what Momos are & are traveling here, no restaurants make or probably even know what Momos are..so based on that the Momos they make are actually good. I personally like them with their mango or tamarind chutney. They’ve all worked genuinely to provide us great customer service combining with great food, so what more can you ask from a restaurant. Keep it going...

Everything was excelent here. We ate 3 times in this great place. I would leave 3 reviews if I could, to rise their grade, beacuse they truly deserve it. First time here, after a hard long day, we arrived here at 10:15 pm. No one was serving dinner in the port, except this restaurant. They offered us a table although their kitchen was already closed, we had to make our mind in like 2 minutes and they have a big menu. But we didn't think, we just put our finger on something and ordered. For starter, we had prawn pakora, delicious. Then, I ordered chicken mango and garlic cheese naan, a perfect choice, sweet and sour in the same plate. If you like sth sweet, this is a great "must try". The second day I ordered the same starter, sushi crunchy and hot roll crepe (sushi).....my God, if I had one more stomach I would have ordered again. But the next day I chose the same because I couldn't resist that taste. My boyfriend ordered chicken karai (medium spicy), chicken Nepal and lamb Nepal - extremly satisfied. The staff here is very careful, the food came in like 10 minutes (starter) and 15 minutes (main course). Although everyone left the restaurant and the staff started to arrange the tables for the next day, they didn't say anything to us, we stayed to...

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This was unfortunately the only bad experience we had in Madeira. We were seated at a dirty table, and the service had no sense of urgency whatsoever. Although they had plenty of staff and the restaurant was half full, it took over 20 minutes to get the bottled water we ordered.

The wait times continued. Naan bread took another 30 minutes after ordering. When the main courses finally arrived, I was shocked by how unappealing the sushi looked. The chives on top looked old, and the taste/texture of the sushi was disappointing. My partner ordered the house special chicken which was decent, but nothing special as it entailed. Rice was an extra cost, and the rice tasted/felt as if it had been sitting out all day.

The worst part wasn't the food, but the fact that the staff didn't seem to care about the guests experience. I had no silverware, my sushi came without chopsticks, and after asking for some, they weren't brought over for another 10 minutes. My partners food was cold at that point.

The menu is massive and it seems like they focus on quantity instead of quality. They probably rely on one-time tourists because there wouldn't be many return...

A curious combination that has the potential of failing utterly nonetheless succeeds. We’ve enjoyed takeout mostly in the great company of our bulldog Hugo who waits patiently for us to savor the various Indian, Nepalese, Tibetan and Japanese delights. The portions are fair, enough for two people each, more if you have plenty of wine or beer on hand. The restaurant itself is located on the Calheta Beach harbor, a pleasant place to sit, gaze out into the ocean and the feel the evening wind of the white capped waves. The food is tasty indeed and reminds us of some of the fine Indian restaurants in the island. On the pricey side, some might say, a meal with appetizers and drinks for two will set you back 60 Euro depending on your tastes. You could of course eat less for less, doable. Well worth the trip.

I ordered a sushi combo 16 pieces , it came with 13 pieces of sushi and 3 pieces of sashimi. Tastes horrible not fresh at all. My other friends ordered the Indian menu were happy with their meals though. Another thing worth mentioning is the waiter’s attitude. I came here with a dog and i tied him to my table. There was one staff who shooed ay my dog twice , one time with a TRAY! my dog was just looking curious and NOT in this waiter’s way at all. I don’t think anyone who accept your (furry) child being treated like this when he’s not doing anything to anyone. I would not recommend this to anybody. You can get better Indian food and Japanese elsewhere easily.
