Carioca de Limão — Restaurant in Cascais

Unfortunately can't comment on the food and won't be able to in the future either. Got there and we were told that we'd have the next table and one table is nearly finishing. All good.

After waiting 20+ mins, a family arrives and we can hear them say they don't have a reservation but being friendly with staff. More time passes and then they get put in the table we were waiting for.

As we complain we are told they had a reservation (despite us explicitly having heard otherwise) and we'd have the next one that would be "soon" - we check and can see that no-one would be leaving for a while, which they then admit to when we tell them.

Total joke and...

If you don’t speak Portugese and you don’t eat pork then it’s good reason to not go here. We specifically said we don’t want any pork in our food… The what happens next is pork is delivered mixed in our food😳. We ordered fresh salad and next thing we know our salad bowl comes with leftover chicken bones😳 🤬 We still had to pay for everything. Just don’t go here to these jokers. Probably laughing at us now. Average price of 15euros per plate of food. Small little restaurant....

Expensive for what you get. Dinner for two with starter, main and drinks was 85 euro. Happily pay that and more for a good meal but this was underwhelming. Overcooked (slightly) but well flavoured prawns, underseasoned seafood bisque, overseasoned lamb. Friendly and cafe like atmosphere. Nowhere near a Riocan experience and I go regularly as I have family there. Possibly an off day so will give it another...
