If you want to be by Estoril beach this is a good location but unless you are renting a vehicle and driving be prepared to spend at least 90 min to get anywhere outside of Estoril by public transit. It's nearly 2 hours to take the train to the airport and be forewarned google maps is terrible at giving directions for transit in Portugal. If you do decide to fork over €350 and up to rent a car for a week then you would be about a 25 min drive to anywhere, including the sights of Belem, the museums in central Lisbon and the large malls in surrounding suburbs like Sintra and Colombo. The breakfast at this hotel was one of the best breakfasts I've had included in my room rate and I've stayed at about 100 hotels that include breakfast. Traditional European selection of cold cuts, salad, fruit, yogurt and boiled eggs, a large selection of pastries and bread products, and even the option of hot scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and beans. The individual room was perfect for one person and the two twin bedroom with attached room with pull out bed was perfect for the people I was with who had kids. The bathrooms in the main rooms feature the odd half bath half shower style like in most European hotels I've been to, while the single room had a full walk in shower that i much prefer. The downside: cleaning staff are not very good. If you're in your room until about noon, be prepared for the cleaning staff to skip cleaning your room altogether. Usually when I stay at major chain hotels like the Holiday Inn, the Ramada, the Marriott etc the staff come back before they put away the cleaning carts to check if any rooms that had do not disturb signs removed those signs. Here they do not do that. On the day I really really needed the room to be serviced because it had been 4 days, I went down for breakfast and loitered at the pool until 1145 hoping that the cleaning staff would clean my room in that window (I even out the please clean room sign up). When I went back to my room to shower and change so I could head out for the day, I noticed the cleaning staff had seemingly entered, turned off the air conditioning, and moved a chair I had moved to a different corner because there is no hook in the bathroom to hang towels so I decided to use the chair. The room next to me was open and had been turned over in anticipation of the next people to check in. I figured if I showered and removed the sign afterwards the cleaning staff would come back and clean the room. They did not and I was stuck with a full garbage and no hand soap for another night because oddly the front of house staff can give you a towel but they do not have soap refill packets for the bathroom soap dispenser. For me this seems weird enough that it knocked off an entire star from my rating. Call me crazy, but if I'm spending money on a hotel I expect to have hand soap! So overall not the greatest location and poor cleaning check up moves this from a 4 star to a 3...
Read moreA great little hotel close to the beach, the casino and a leisurely walk to either Cascais, Estoril. |The thing I consider that make a hotel great are:|Cleanliness, functioning air-conditioning, available hot water, comfortable beds and pillows, blackout curtains, friendly staff, onsite parking or available street parking, great breakfast, fast attention to any problems that arise.||Hotel Londres ( London) has all of the above features. Their room rates are unbelievable. I stayed at the Evolution Hotel for 1 night, Hotel Londes for 1 night, 2 nights at Quinta da Comporta then back for 4 nights, checking out early Sunday morning. Admittedly the room rate for the last night was nearly double the previous rates, but rest assured, it was SIGNIFICANLTY cheaper that the online rates that peaked at AUD$874 for the last Saturday night.||There was the SBC Summit (Lisbon) — the global betting & iGaming convention — being held 16–18 September 2025 at FIL (Feira Internacional de Lisboa) & MEO Arena, drawing ~30,000 delegates.|| I had breakfast in hotel most days. It was included in the rate. The hotel has a Happy Hour and fixed price dinner. I was unable to sample either as I was drinking and dining with family and friends. For the price of an entree at Vintage Estoril you get a 3 course meal for €22 . Their Wine and Drink list is an Alcoholics dream...Humour intended. Cocktails around €10-12 and not €18-20.|There is no onsite parking but dozens of spots available in the street. Charges are levied from 9:00am till 8:00pm at €.90 per hour. I was in and out of the hotel and arriving back most nights after midnight. Parking was never an issue.|If you contact the hotel directly I am assured you will get a better rate than online. I usually use AirBnb when staying in the Monte Estoril area. AirBnb stiffed me as did the owner of the property Sebastian. Right proper A-hole. I was in a jam trying to find accommodation at the last minute. Really .. Hotel Londres was my saviour. I had driven past is on numerous occasions on previous visits. I knew where it was and was an easy walk to where I needed to be and that was close to Pirouette.|I intend to stay there on future visits and maybe try the other features of the hotel I have missed out on, namely the Salt and Pepper Restaurant, the Verandah Bar and the pool. And...the staff are friendly... not like the ones at the Evolution Hotel in Lisbon. I was not happy...

I feel completely deceived—this hotel is nothing like the photos or descriptions online. My children said it best: we were catfished. The price was low, and the photos looked beautiful, but what we encountered upon arrival was a disturbing and unsafe experience.
After a seemingly normal check-in, we were sent to a basement-level room—yes, underground—with a tiny window that looked more like a prison vent than a proper exit in case of emergency. That was just the beginning.
The room was disgusting. There were brown stains all over the walls and floors, and to top it off, we found bed bugs on the mattress. We stopped unpacking immediately and went straight back to the front desk to check out.
The staff handled it with shocking indifference. There was no apology, no offer to move us to another room, and no attempt to clean or address the issue. We were simply told we could leave—and they would refund everything except 20% of one night's stay. When I asked how much that would be or when I’d receive it, they claimed they didn’t know and that it would “take time.”
I even put the booking site on speakerphone so they could explain directly to the front desk how to process the refund. The front desk staff refused to take action. One employee literally said he was “too tired” and wouldn’t write a two-minute email—even though it was only 10:15 p.m. and he wasn’t off until 11.
Since then, I’ve followed up multiple times with no response from the hotel or resolution through the booking site. It’s now been days and I haven’t received a single cent in refund nor any reply to my messages or emails.
This place is run by dishonest people who simply do not care. It is not just falsely advertised—it is unsafe, dirty, and utterly mismanaged. We ended up finding last-minute accommodations in actual Cascais (this hotel isn’t even well located) and were lucky to be helped by a truly professional staff elsewhere.
Avoid this place at all costs even if the deal appears too good to be true. It was an absolute nightmare, and I wouldn’t wish this...
