A Gem of a Brunch Spot
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jay's Brunch Caffe, and I'm thrilled to share my experience with fellow foodies and brunch enthusiasts. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. Here's the lowdown:
Ambience: 5/5 Jay's Brunch Caffe nails the ambiance with a perfect score. It's not just a place to eat; it's a destination for photographers and those looking to add a touch of elegance to their social feeds. With three levels of thoughtfully designed space (though the upper level was closed during my visit), the café offers a cozy yet sophisticated environment that's hard to find elsewhere. Visiting during the Lunar New Year, the café was nestled among upper-class buildings, adding to the festive and high-end atmosphere.
Food: Banh Mi Deconstructed – A Must-Try The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the deconstructed Banh Mi. It was an awesome twist on the classic Vietnamese sandwich. The bread was nothing short of perfection – crumbly on the outside and unbelievably soft on the inside, creating a delightful texture contrast that complemented the fillings beautifully. The combination of pate, beef, and veggies was spot-on, hitting all the right flavor notes and leaving me wanting more.
Drink: Mango Tea Milk Tea – Highly Recommended To wash down the meal, I opted for their recommended Mango Tea Milk Tea, and it didn't disappoint. It was the perfect blend of flavors, providing a refreshing twist to the usual milk tea experience. A definite must-try for any visitor.
Accessibility: Great Access with Lift For those concerned about accessibility, Jay's Brunch Caffe has you covered with a lift that ensures everyone can enjoy what the café has to offer, regardless of which floor they choose to dine on.
Location: Prime Spot near Vincom Shopping Center The location is just as impressive as the café itself. Situated close to Vincom Shopping Center – arguably the biggest and most upscale shopping mall in My Tho – Jay's Brunch Caffe is perfectly placed for a brunch date followed by a day of shopping or window browsing in high-end stores.
In conclusion, Jay's Brunch Caffe is a standout spot that offers more than just good food and drinks; it provides a whole experience. Whether you're there for the 'gram, the delectable deconstructed Banh Mi, or just to soak in the ambience, Jay's has something for everyone. It's a place I'll certainly be returning to, and I recommend you do the same if you find...
Read moreI had brunch here a couple of days ago. The food was really good and the presentation was great. BUT... while I was there I saw a server behind the counter preparing drinks WITHOUT a mask on and another one preparing food WITHOUT any protection covering his face either. Given the restrictions and regulations that restaurants have to adhere to in order to stay open during COVID times, I was extremely surprised, not to say appalled. I waved a waitress over, who happened to be the person in charge, and asked her why was our order being prepared without the mandatory protective gear, to which she replied she hadn't even noticed the staff were working without the appropriate gear. She went to talk to them and returned to our table to apologize. They messed up our drinks, but that happens sometimes. It wasn't a big deal. They brought over the right ones plus our food and we ate everything. It was delicious (except for the chocolate waffle, it was too dry and barely had a drop of maple syrup). When we were ready to leave, we asked for the bill. Let it be known that this place is NOT cheap. After what had happened, I was a bit disappointed that the manager didn't even offer us a small discount or a voucher...just any small gesture as an apology. Regardless, we thanked everyone and left quickly because we were in a hurry. After I got to the car, I checked the bill, only to realize that they charged us for more drinks than we had consumed! That was super annoying. Overall, our experience wasn't too bad. For the food alone, I'd rate it 5 stars. However, given the seriousness of the health and safety issue and the overcharging mishap, I will...
Read moreSad. Heard a lot about this place but was amazed on how bad the food was. 1- Service The place was empty and the staff looked busy somehow, took time and even killed a bug in front of us… off to a bad start.
2- Food Dry, flavorless, hard. Pancakes looked microwaved. My girlfriend makes way tastier ones. Plating was beautiful but some herbs had an awful flavor that took over the palate. Maybe they weren’t edible which makes no sense given the quantity.
3- Price Overpriced, 100% marketing on their food. It isn’t worth it and you will find no parking space. Only come by foot and if you value the interior design over food quality, which is your right. Had a good design but the music was too loud. The location gazed a beautiful sunset, which is all you are getting for 7€ a pancake
If it wasn’t for the amazing company I had and the beautiful sunset we got to experience it would have been a bad experience given the high expectations. Maybe if it wasn’t so talked about I would have enjoyed it more. Maybe it was an off day. Take...
