KAI FU — Restaurant in Cascais

I got a very bad food poisning after having lunch here on 14Feb 2022. I do not like to give bad reviews but people need to know that they are not handling with care their food, seafood or veggies. I ate the regular lunch buffet at 2pm and started to run to the bathroom around 8pm. I also got very bad cramps and body aches so I know it is not "overeating" as the lady suggested when I called today to warn them. Went to the doctor and had some antibiotic. Spent a night with pain (valentine's night), still feel sore 24hrs later. When i stopped the vmit I called them to warn them to be more careful, to tell the cooks to check the food better, it was a call to help them and not to be mean. The lady laughed and said I probably just overate and it was definitely not their food... so rude, I felt awful on top of the disease. Please know I'll report this to the ASAE as I don't know...

This place really deserves a good review. I have family living nearby so I've been to this restaurant many times throughout the years. It's a self service all you can eat buffet. Usually these types of restaurants have a number of tricks up their sleeves so they don't lose money. It's certainly not the case with Kai Fu. They truly respect their clients and want them absolutely satisfied. The food is always fresh, varied and plenty. If the famous popcorn shrimps fly off the tray, in second they're replenished with a freshly cooked batch. They also have a chef behind a big grill plate that will cook your selection of shrimp, veggies, fish etc. It's a simple restaurant that gets quite busy but that's to be expected when the food is delicious and good value for money. If I remember correctly it's less than 10 euros...

We decided to try amêijoa when brought them to us, the smell was terrible, the taste was also terrible, we tried one piece and didn’t even eat it, because we realized that they were not fresh. result: the whole family has an intestinal infection. Because employees were negligent in their work, people are forced to suffer. or even worse, they knew that they were not fresh and decided to cook them...
