Pizzeria Bel Paese — Restaurant in Cascais

Cosy Italian family business, with gentle staff and amazing pizzas.

I found this pizzeria because I was craving the southern italian pizza "salsiccia e friarielli" and luckily my Italian partner started searching for a pizzeria with this specific pizza (it's not so easy to find outside of Italy) and found this pizzeria on Google Maps with photos of the menu that had it.

I didn't know what to expect as I knew I was way too far from Italy but it was surprisingly good. We also had a "diavola con gorgonzola" and were amazed by how good they were!

And I'll let you know a little secret...in order to know if the pizza is good or not, you have to wait until the next day and see if you were thirsty and if you managed to sleep properly that night and I can assure you it is good pizza!❤️

This is a small and wonderful Italian family-owned and run pizza place. The family are welcoming, genuine and friendly. The pizzas they serve are some of the best I have ever had anywhere.
