Johnny's Bar — Restaurant in Castro Marim

Not sure if the staff was new or in a bad mood or something else. How this has a 4.4 average rating is beyond me. Rude, unhelpful staff is a great way to convince clients to not go there a second time. No need for constant smiles but assuming that clients are seating just to have espressos and confronting them rudely is not the way to go. Nevertheless, drinks are ordered (mostly cocktails) and a sparkling water. The sparkling water is at room temperature, glass is probably straight out of the washing machine as it's hot (not warm, but hot), no ice, no lemon. Let's give the lemon a rest. When we mention that the water is at room temperature and the glass is hot, the waiter shrugs it and simply says: well, yeah... We ask for ice. The waiter brought ice. Nothing else was said. The check comes: ice was €0.30. First time seeing ice being charged but that's fine. What pisses people off is that by having hot glasses and room temperature drinks, clients are forced to get ice!! This is typical portuguese business strategy....

Restaurant was highly recommended for the XXL toasts which I can confirm- really crunchy good tuna toast, the chicken toast had not that much taste in my opinion. Two toasts can be shared between three as a small lunch. Unfortunately the service was really unfriendly and I even caught him talking bad behind our backs with colleges inside....

You should keep a board "this place is only for portuguese" so other people will not enter to see staffs rude face, me and my friend waited one hour and staffs took orders from other tables except ours even they saw us. All are paying the same euro,...
