A Cabana — Restaurant in Espinho

We wanted to see Espinho beach and decided to have lunch at A Cabana. We wanted spicy grilled prawns, grilled octopus, fried small fish. Our waiter was Moreira & he was excellent. He brought our a tray of prawns for us to choose and had it prepared just as we requested.Every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection. We had a seafood soup which was delicious, however we had some prawns with some shells which shouldn’t be in the soup. The oysters were not correctly prepared/opened, we had bits of the shell and had to use our own cutlery to remove the meat itself. The biggest disappointment was the mixed seafood salad which was in a mayo and vinegar dressing with shallot which ended up overpowering the entire taste and point of the seafood. Very nice restaurant, seems brand new, the service was very good. The food was great as well, the prices are a little steep though… But you get parking space and there aren’t that many restaurants bye the beach in espinho. The sea food seems very nice, especially the huge crabs(sapateira) I have never seen so big, been in many sea food restaurants as well as sea food markets. Will come to try them...
