Casa São Pedro — Restaurant in Espinho

Found this restaurant when driving around Espinho and will save it for a future visit. We had some olives (very good, but a bit too salty) and some corn bread (very usual in northern Portugal) before our meal arrived. I then had some Bulhão Pato (garlic, coriander and butter) clams, that were quite big and delicious, followed by a full-of-flavor fish soup. I tried a bit of the grilled squid, which was crunchy but not chewy, and the ribs, which were good, but could have benefited from a little bit more seasoning. I finished off the meal with a chocolate mousse and a coffee. Service was careful...

Realy good seafood, meat selection and choice of deserts that made us to come back for more. Open kitchen and great service provided by waiter speaking good English and dropping some jokes during bussy service. Came here twice during my stay in Espinho. The second time, I asked for a mixture of grilled fishes, even though it wasn't on the menu. The manager was happy to offer this. I had sardines, skate and croaker, and they were absolutely beautiful!!
