O Barraquinha — Restaurant in Espinho

Great find in Esphino, Portugal!

It is a great place to experience local Portugese food. We ordered sardines with salad and some fries and rice and everything was great including the lively experience ( later found out that sardines would have been better with salad and boiled potatoes).

Tourists like us crave new experiences and the only one recommendation to the team is to recommend how a local would order and eat various dishes !

For such a busy place, we had to wait about 30- 45 minutes but we did not mind at all !! It was great to see that the employees were really busy but loved hosting !

Would recommend to anyone visiting!

Minimalistic Restaurant with typical (grilled)Portuguese fish and meat, and excellent service. The choice is limited and mostly grilled food, and we have only been there one time during the week, and I and say the squid and Sea Bream we had was cooked to perfection, best I had in Espinho. We stayed in Espinho for 5 days and went to O Barranquinha twice. The first time, we chose it because it was close to our hotel, but the second time we decided to go back because the food is splendid and the quality-price ratio is also incredible.
