A Casa Da Levada — Restaurant in Funchal

This is a hidden gem a local friend invited me to have a drink. Mainly a locals hangout complete with dj and all at times. this place also differs from the average place because they actually have a small selection of tapas like e.g.: a platter of a variation of cheeses, hams and sausages complemented with crackers which is not very common on the island (keep an eye out for the cheeky wall-lizards because they will steal your snacks from under your nose ;) ). it has a very cosy little terrace with a great view, so be quick if you want a seat. Luckily there's also a nice inside area. But it's clearly a local hangout and the staff was a little grumpy... I guess they were thinking there goes the neighborhood when I walked in with my 3 words of Portuguese. All in all great little secret hideout.. well.. not anymore...
