Was expecting better considering the reviews. Went for lunch . Had the mushroom appetizer. They were very fresh and very tasty. Had the ½ pizza and ½ salad. The salad like all salads in Madeira was very good. Very fresh ingredients. You make your own dressing with olive oil and vinegar. Can't go wrong. The pizza though was not great . IMO. To make a great pizza , you need good dough. This was not . Very dense. Not enough air. Theirs a couple of very good pizza places a block away. If your specifically looking for pizza , go to those places. Maybe the pasta is good here , but we didn't try it. House wine was good , but for €16 you can do better. The signage is kinda hidden but once you find it you're in for a treat. I had the ham and sausage pizza and it was better than I hoped. Excellent crust, very flavourful, not too much sauce and not greasy at all. It was, by my measure, all I could want. Excellent service and very clean. Nice decor. The beer was ice cold too.
