Read moreJust had a basic burger and fries. Meat was far from cooked...closer to tartar than what I would call a burger. It's was obviously a frozen patty and was barely warm when received. Thank goodness the fries saved the day.
Lovely patio but it's obviously geared towards locals than the tourist trade. Apparently their business is much more devoted to bakery and pastry products and I may return to allow them to redeem themselves.

So I returned today to check out their bakery section and I'm glad I did. This is the strength of the business and it was obvious the moment I stepped up to the counter. I was greeted with a mouth watering assortment of pastries and other baked goods that made choosing very difficult. In the end I opted for a couple of Pasteis de Nata, a traditional Madeira custard tart. They were so tasty and it took willpower not to return for more.
