Snack bar 1315 — Restaurant in Funchal

Local bar ran by a lovely man Francisco and his wife. Serves local beer/wine/snacks at cheap local prices and it’s a great place to stop off on the way into Funchal or to chill and just watch the world go by. We visted many times during our recent 2 week holiday and it’s conveniently located on the roundabout on Rua Dr. Pina, where the 8, 24 and 45 buses and both the Red/Yellow tour buses stop at Quinta Magnólia (easy to walk into Funchal but worth getting transport back up those hills 🤣). Francisco is a perfect host and the bar has been in his family for 3 generations now - he will happily chat and give you advice about where to go and what to see in Madeira. Recommended and we have already booked to come back to Madeira again next year - see you again next May...

Lovely, friendly place, local prices. We loved the bicas. If you're staying at a hotel nearby, please do yourself a favor and have a few drinks/snacks at this wonderful snack bar on your way into town. We're sorry we didn't get the chance to go there...

Strolled up to see the Maritimo stadium. Oddly this is the only close by bar we could find. The pavement seating is on a busy inttersection. Beer in bottles. 2 Coral 0.33l only 2.30€. Nice inside, proper little locals bar. Madge prefers Coral in the...
