Snack Bar O Passeio — Restaurant in Funchal

Super delicious: fried cod, a HEAPING basket of potatoes, basically an entire loaf of bread, a nice large salad. We were two hungry hikers and left full, with a big container of takeaway leftovers. The cod was nicely seasoned in an olive oil sauce and everything else tasted fresh and homemade. Highly recommend. It seems to be a favourite local hangout, got some tips from other diners. Cash only. We got the giant cod, bread, potatoes, salad and a 1.5L bottle of water for 35 €

Google led us to this very low-key snack bar where there is no menu and no English spoken. A friendly couple will serve you some of the tastiest, crispiest cod you've ever had, and give you a bill on a post-it (everything in my photo was 32 euros). Can't get more...
