Honestly should start reading bad reviews going forward. TL;DR: Stay away if you have customizations to make. If not enjoy the atmosphere.

Food:

It’s mediocre I wouldn’t say it’s bad but it’s not great. Veggie burger - one should definitely avoid.

Risotto: over salty, we were so tired that we didn’t want to complain and eat our food and leave.

Extremely bad service: This is where the fun begins, I asked for a veggie pasta for my kid - they had a beef bolognese for the kids and the hotel mentioned they would do a veggie instead. What I got was a plain pasta, I mentioned this is just plain no sauce or veggies, can we please cancel it. The server insisted he can make this right and get this mixed up with a sauce, what I got now was a tomato sauce in the middle of the plain pasta. Now I didn’t want to make a scene and I was tired I told it’s okay can we make this to go / take away the server asked me to go for you or for me? I never understood this concept if I am paying it’s for me no? I said me and he gave it - it’s a disaster and I just want this to end. Now I’m waiting for the check I asked twice one server is signaling the other, even after 20-25 mins the check wasn’t there. I had a kid who is past the bedtime and getting cranky( remember she didn’t eat, we don’t feed her just boiled pasta) wife is angry and I go to the top floor where the manager Rafael was at the counter.

I told her I want to pay and asked the server next to me to help locate our table. I mentioned this is the worst service I have encountered I just came from France and it was amazing with all the places we went to.

She said it’s not nice to compare with France and she felt I was targeting her - wow? She tried to argue with me that I have a bad attitude that I come here and say it’s bad service. She was more interested in arguing with me than taking my money, I insisted again she took the money. And then she is asking me what happened I said you should have asked me this first instead of saying I have a bad attitude, I am a customer I was angry because of your service she says well I didn’t know she didn’t take the opportunity to ask me instead tried to fuel the fire. She apologized after I explained to her what happened and which was they took my order wrong and that’s what went to kitchen - I’m just surprised at all the glorious reviews. If the owner is this hot tempered, and servers(not all)are in a don’t give a damn attitude. It will eventually start going down. It’s a shame as to what happened today. not one person tried to make it right. Stay away if you have a kid. Stay away if you have customizations to make. If not enjoy...

Disappointing evening after high expectations in case of the great reviews.

It was very sadly that the menu didn't offer any glass of wine only bottles were available. Not everyone will drink a bottle by two person especially if you have to drive back to the hotel.

We ordered "one" couvert for the start, the duck in red curry and the wagyue beef burger as main dishes. The couvert was tasty but not enough bread for the dips.

After I receiced my wagyue burger the frustration was enourmes because the patty was cold, dry and comes well done. The taste of the meat was more like normal hash definitely not like a wagyue beef. I observed this to the waiter and they kindly brought me a new burger after a few minutes. The only difference to the first burger was that the patty haven't been cold now but it was dry and grilled to death as well. In my opinion 18 € is way to much for this burger and in any event it isn't worth the money. I want to add that the duck in red curry was tasty.

We asked for the bill and I gave the waiter a recommendation that they shouldn't offer a wagyue beef burger and then serve it well done. He felt attacked and told me that I'm responsible because I didn't say something after I received my second burger. Definitely not a good service! He told us that the only thing he can offer us is a local spirit, in my opinion this is ridiculous.

But at the end the funniest thing was that there were two couverts for nearly 4 € each on the bill. It's incomprehensible to charge 8 € for two small pieces of bread with dips. It wasn't mentioned in the menu that they will charge 4 € each person.

In summary for this price class I expect...

Booked a table to celebrate my sons birthday as a family of 4. Was taken to our table and the very first thing the waiter said was we need the table back at 8.15pm, considering we had just arrived at 6.45pm !

At NO point was we told this upon booking. Then we had specific cocktails pushed on us with no price mentioned at all, along with him telling us the rack of lamb is at a very good price of 30 euros!

We hadnt even seen the menu at this point to make our own decisions. The table water was poured out in such a rush, I felt we must had been on fire and the waiter was putting the fire 🔥 out..I then had to tell the waiter to slow down as i couldn't even understand a word he was saying.. This all became far to annoying, stressful and unacceptable which just got our backs up.

So i headed over to reception and explained the situation to the 2 ladies and they had NO interest at all. No apology and "if you dont like it just go" so we paid for the 4 drinks we had and left. I even said when she brought the card machine over to pay, I cant believe your even charging me for them. She just ignored my comment and looked else where. Says it all about this place !!! Very rude..
