Boémia Bistro — Restaurant in Lamego

Nice little restaurant, it seems new, with modern/trendy decoration. The waitress was very efficient, she new her business, although not a smiley face…but it’s her style I guess. We ordered tempura mushrooms, and that was not tempura, was pan fried mushrooms, were okish but not tempura. The clams (amêijoas à bulhão pato) sauce was not has it should, it was full of butter, so basically a sauce that should taste garlic, olive oil, lemon and coriander, tasted only like melted butter…disappointing. The 3rd dish was the only one quite ok, the stake tartare. Not the best I had. But was nice, meat was well cut and tasted like good quality. Overall was nice, just small adjustments on...

Your Seabass Risotto was so awesome!! Couldn't put down my fork at all. The stock used was so out of this world not mentioning the juicy and crispy freshest seabass I've had yet. You did justice to the fresh seafood in your hands.

The ribeye steak was so delicately done that we didn't even need the salt to take us to the sweet spot.

After a resounding meal in Porto, the four Canadians from Ottawa had Boemia Bistro recommended to us for the next leg of our Portugal tour. Sandra and the highly regarded chef (didn't get his name) made our trip to Lamego a great choice. Unbelievable Portuguese food recommended and served with friendliness and pride.
